GTA Radio gives you the GTA experience without the game
It's kind of a shame that we hadn't heard about this app before, because it is quite a bit of fun. Anyone who has played Grand Theft Auto knows that while the gameplay of stealing cars and beating people with baseball bats is awesome, the radio stations make the game experience so much better, and that's exactly what you get from GTA Radio.

GTA Radio gives you the GTA experience without the game
The app will allow you to stream almost all of the radio stations that you would find in GTA III, GTA: Vice City, GTA: Liberty City Stories, GTA: Vice City Stories, GTA: San Andreas, and GTA: IV. This means that not only can you get some great old school mixes in the Vice City radio stations, but you also get the sweet hip-hop mixes of San Andreas, and of course the hilarious talk radio stations from all of the games.

There have been reported issues with performance of the app, and there is no option for high-quality streaming, but it is still well worth a look if you have been a fan of the modern GTA series. Just be sure that if you're listening in the car, you don't go into "game mode" and hop the curb to start running people over. The cops in real life are far harder to escape than the GTA cops.

The GTA Radio app is available for free in the Google Play Store

Time for some Flock of Seagulls....

This might be a must have for any GTA fans. I'm about to start some trouble now.... The best soundtrack was Vice City, the best game was San Andreas....

Is this even legal? I realize it's a free app, and it's streaming, but it just seems weird that it comes from "Keshav Verma", and there doesn't seem to be any affiliation with Rockstar.

I was thinking the same....

The Dev isn't making money off it, he made it himself and gives it out for free. It promotes GTA and Rock Star games didn't put out a penny for it I would think Rock Star games would be happy about it now if the dev were trying to charge $.99 for the app Rock Star should sue him otherwise it's not worth it

17. Jurdiales posted on 27 Nov 2012, 01:17

yeah... but i'm not reffering to that, i'm talking about copyrighted music or content from Rockstar or some big company like Sony or whatever... i tried the app and i like it, i hope it lasts some long time online...

Yeah, it is an enjoyable app. The way I see it, since there is no monetary gain from this app or option to download/share the tracks, it probably won't amount to any serious litigation. A "cease and desist" would probably be the first (and maybe only) step Rockstar Games or Sony BMG or other copyright holders.

On the other hand, the RIAA could count it as music piracy, and we've seen how that works out...

very pointless app. GTA is so outdated and just needs to give up.
