First images of the iDEN/CDMA dual-mode and RAZR-like iDEN phones

After Sprint and Nextel merged last year, it was known that some dual-mode “roaming” phones would be released that will be able to operate on the two networks, but there was no specific information. nxtlcrackberry at howard-forums is the first to show pictures of what's supposed to be the first dual-network iDEN/CDMA phones for Sprint Nextel. The images show 2 phones – a rugged mid-level clamshell and another one with higher-end model with two color displays. Both the phones have the Sprint logo on the front and inside, and the Nextel one on the back of their shells. No specifications are given, but the rubberized phone will probably be similar to the i580, which was announced at CTIA.

The source of the rumors points that the rugged phone will be available as early as October 2006, while the higher-end one won't come before the second half of the next year.

Nothing has been said on the ic402, which was rumored earlier as the first dual-network iDEN/CDMA phone

Picture of an iDEN phone, which is supposed to be RAZR thin with small stub antenna and music capabilities with dedicated keys on the side, was leaked. There is no information on it also, only confirmation that it is NOT dual-mode phone. It will probably launch as the i890
