Best Buy takes 50 percent off Samsung Galaxy Buds price (with a catch)
Not content with dominating the fast-growing "hearables" industry, Apple wants to completely overwhelm its rivals by currently selling no less than three AirPods variants released in 2019, as well as the Beats-branded Powerbeats Pro that also saw daylight earlier this year.

But while Samsung is not on a similar mission to overcrowd the market with many different true wireless earbuds options, the company's lone 2019 entry into the thriving segment manages to easily undercut every single AirPods model. Even better, the Galaxy Buds can be routinely purchased for significantly lower prices than $130 or occasionally for free alongside select recent high-end Galaxy handsets.

The newest compelling deal comes from Best Buy, where you can find the black headphones listed at $64.99 a pair after a massive $65 discount. If that sounds a little too good to be true, it's probably because it is. Technically, it's not fair to say these bad boys are available at 50 percent off, since you're not looking at brand-new, unused, unopened, and undamaged units here.

Instead, you need to settle for refurbs, which isn't usually an ideal money-saving scenario. On the bright side, these are "certified" to work and look pretty much as good as new, and even though Best Buy doesn't explicitly mention it, they're most likely covered by a "standard" Geek Squad 90-day warranty. That could make the Galaxy Buds on sale here more compelling than new units available on eBay at a slightly higher price.

Don't forget you have to be fine with a black paint job to score the full discount, and in terms of specs and features, you can expect everything from wireless charging support to premium (at least in theory) AKG-tuned sound, up to 13 hours of battery life (case included), Bluetooth 5.0 capabilities, and an Ambient Sound technology that... could be better.

Check out the deal here

Is it really though? Every other sentence is a variation of "don't get these because they're not the airpods"... Should an article SPECIFICALLY about this deal be basically "letting you know it's a deal"? If it had been airpods at a $20 discount, it'd be raving ever other sentence about "how much better these are than the Samsung ones" because they were made by Apple not Samsung... hurrdurr durr it's getting tiring having to wade through a swimming pool of "Samsung sucks, it's not Apple" crap to find the actual Samsung news article it's supposed to be about.

LOL it's the truth. The only way Best Buy can move this is to discount them meanwhile you never see AirPods on a firesale and they are still sold out in a lot of places too. Enjoy your Samsung crap while Apple reigns as king with it's stores making more profit per square inch than most retailers in the world. :) #Appleforever

Unfortunately there is a major problem with apple, they simply lie about their radio frequency wave (RF) tests. They consistently have phones that emit way more radiation than Samsung phones. This is very unfortunate because radiation is a leading cause to cancer. You may feel that Apple is the cooler brand and they generate more revenue but they don't care that many of their customers will later be faced with cancer. Great customer service am i right? If you don't believe me, then here is some facts: look up rf safe and you will find many tests between phones there is a large article on the page the fcc is constantly doing tests as well

There's a lot of complaints on the BestBuy site saying that the tips they include are not original and therefore creates charging issues... read the reviews before you purchase.
