Best Buy takes 50 percent off Samsung Galaxy Buds price (with a catch)
Not content with dominating the fast-growing "hearables" industry, Apple wants to completely overwhelm its rivals by currently selling no less than three AirPods variants released in 2019, as well as the Beats-branded Powerbeats Pro that also saw daylight earlier this year.

But while Samsung is not on a similar mission to overcrowd the market with many different true wireless earbuds options, the company's lone 2019 entry into the thriving segment manages to easily undercut every single AirPods model. Even better, the Galaxy Buds can be routinely purchased for significantly lower prices than $130 or occasionally for free alongside select recent high-end Galaxy handsets.

The newest compelling deal comes from Best Buy, where you can find the black headphones listed at $64.99 a pair after a massive $65 discount. If that sounds a little too good to be true, it's probably because it is. Technically, it's not fair to say these bad boys are available at 50 percent off, since you're not looking at brand-new, unused, unopened, and undamaged units here.

Instead, you need to settle for refurbs, which isn't usually an ideal money-saving scenario. On the bright side, these are "certified" to work and look pretty much as good as new, and even though Best Buy doesn't explicitly mention it, they're most likely covered by a "standard" Geek Squad 90-day warranty. That could make the Galaxy Buds on sale here more compelling than new units available on eBay at a slightly higher price.

Don't forget you have to be fine with a black paint job to score the full discount, and in terms of specs and features, you can expect everything from wireless charging support to premium (at least in theory) AKG-tuned sound, up to 13 hours of battery life (case included), Bluetooth 5.0 capabilities, and an Ambient Sound technology that... could be better.
