iPhone 3G S commercial goes live

iPhone 3G S commercial goes live
It seems Apple is up to promoting the iPhone 3G S a bit more before launching it on the market. The company picked David Fincher, director of movies such as Fight Club, Zodiac and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, to whip up a short TV commercial showing the device in an action movie-like environment. Another interesting aspect of the 30-second video is that the Fight Club movie cinematographer, Jeff Cronenweth, is also taking part in the realization.

The “Break In” ad, as it is called, is pretty catchy and it looks its main purpose is to showc off the video capture capability of the device as well as  make a little joke about the unchanged appearance of the iPhone 3G S. So, can´t to take a look at it? Watch the video below!

agreed a terrible commercial they just shot themselves in the foot. they basically said that the phone is the same thing but it has video. thats really going to get some one to go buy one..... a couple hundred more dollars and another 2 year contract and you can have the same thing you have now but it can shoot video!!! yay!

Vzw fanman you're so obsessed!!! Get off the iPhone already. We know that it sucks and we know the blackberry storm will be the best phone forever. You hate the iPhone so much and I can't believe you actually watched the comercial!! What's the point of posting that you hate it when everyone knew that you were going to hate it even before you watched it. You're so jealous and obsessed it's sad.

ok ok ok... I've slowly learned that people have a tendency to write an opinion on these forums that makes him/her sound like a complete zealout. While I personally don't think VZW fanman sounded like he was completely emotional, I do, however think his word choice was pretty dumb. For example, what makes a commercial gay or straight? And also what makes "fanboy" such a gay name? As if "fanman" is any better? If "fanboy" sounds gay, then "fanman" sounds like a pedophile... If you wanted to say "stupid" then why not just say "stupid"? Listen, I agree with you that the commercial was pretty terrible... I mean really, it just makes it look like nothing on the Iphone was improved except for the ability to record/ send video. If you consider the step Apple took to go from the EDGE to 3G, that seems like a pretty useful and big step (depending on where in the country you live in or 3G signal areas... otherwise it actually makes NO difference), but from the 3G phone to this seems less dramatic... Actually quite less dramatic... Sorry if I seem underwhelmed but I'm not that excited for this new Iphone. The question is, what can they do to really make it better... I mean REALLY better, like blow away the competition like they did in 1997, better?
