The Xiaomi Redmi 4 has been spotted today on the Geekbench website. The unannounced handset was sporting a Snapdragon 625 chipset according to the benchmark test. This means that under the hood you'll find an octa-core CPU along with the Adreno 506 GPU. The Snapdragon 625 SoC is known to be a sipper rather than a gulper when it comes to drinking up energy from a phone's battery. The Geekbench test also revealed that the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will sport 3GB of RAM.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 was released this past January and is powered by the Snapdragon 616 chipset. It features 2GB of RAM and a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280. A huge 4100mAh battery was shoehorned into the phone.

The Geekbench test resulted in a single-core score of 929 and a multi-core score of 4751 for the Redmi 4. Android 6.0.1 should be pre-installed on the phone when it launches sometime before the end of the year.
