Xiaomi Mi5 tipped to come with a 5.2" Quad HD display

Xiaomi Mi5 tipped to come with a 5.2
The Mi5, the next flagship of China's growing superstar phone maker Xiaomi, is expected to get officially unveiled some time in the summer, but alleged real-life images and performance benchmarks of the handset have already leaked out. What's left to know, basically, are the actual specs, but now that space has been eventually filled, too, courtesy of the Chinese tech blogosphere.

The Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to sport a 5.2" display, the whopping 4 GB of RAM, and a Snapdragon 810 chipset. The rest of the rumored specs sound like a dream come true for any Xiaomi fan, too - a 16 MP camera with an OIS system to keep it steady, a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home key, and at least a 3000 mAh battery.

This is all in the speculation pipeline, though, while the Chinese tech blogger only confirms the 5.2" display with Quad HD resolution for the Mi5. In any case, the handset should be no slouch, and, knowing Xiaomi, it will come at a pretty good price range, too.

Makes Quad HD because Quad HD is getting mainstream.

bad move considering 808 has weak Gpu and 810 is a bust.

OMG! I hope this topic wouldn't hurt iSheep! Xiaomi, say goodbye to those buyers of overpriced with oudated spec from 2012 phone. Like what, QHD might come to them in 2025, for now it's just a day dream for them.

which phone from 2012 had a 64 bit chip ? look how foolish you sound. QHD is pointless on a tiny phone, just a marketing spec. Funny they say Apple is good at marketing but it turns out android OEMS love it more.

Lol! so much wrong with that statement , samsung manufactured it along with TSMC , but ARM gave the tech , Apple designed the custom cores and there we go , now everyone is going 64 bit 2 yrs later. Then we have iO.S Apple's Biggest strength started in 2007 the O.S android is based on without 2007 iPhone O.S no smartphone would be the same Apple's iO.S changed the whole software industry.

Apple never had 64bit in 2012 lol, also TSMC started producing on A8 not A7 which is first 64bit in 2013 so lol

Actually the first 64-bit Android phone was released a year later after the iPhone 5s, which was the first phone wit 64-bit architecture which is the Desire 510. Also, back then, iOS was only called iPhone OS and no, it wasn't Apple's biggest strength at the time. Also, iOS revolutionized the smartphone industry, not the whole software industry.

it did change the direction of user interfaces on computers as well , cause even microsoft has taken the app store route , more websites are changing the way they work with touch screens and more akin to the iO.S philosophy. intel has also changed the way they operate. a lot of stuff chaged after the success of iO.S and Apps store.

I rather have Quad HD on tablets than useless small screens.

QHD is unnecessary battery hog...don't tell me Samsung's 1440p display in S6 is better than 1080p in S5. Samsung cheat their customer by not creating proper 3 subpixel matrix for screen, instead they create some diamond pattern which reduces total subpixel count to 2/3. I have seen G3's 1440p panel and it is no different to human eye than 1080p panel. In future Apple will be only oem with sensible hardware...android oem are going crazy.
