Video teaser shows the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact getting all wet
Could the mini version of a flagship model actually be a better phone than the larger handset? Those sporting the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact think so. So what if the 5 inch, 1080 x 1920 resolution display on the Sony Xperia Z1 is replaced with a 4.3 inch display with a 720 x 1280 resolution on the Xperia Z1 Compact. Side by side comparison tests have revealed that the smaller screen has wider viewing angles and reproduces color better, not washed out as in the larger device.

What about the battery? Believe it or not, the 2300mAh cell on the Xperia Z1 Compact has allegedly outlasted the 3000mAh cell on the larger variant of the device. Most of the other specs on the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact match those on the Sony Xperia Z1. When a version of the former was released for Japan's Docomo, it quickly ran up to the top of the country's smartphone sales chart, and was compared to the Apple iPhone.

We recently showed you a 30 second behind the scenes video of how the Apple iPhone 5s was used to film a fashion show. In the video below, Sony shows off the Xperia Z1 Compact at a high fashion shoot, and even gets to display the amazing waterproof quality of the handset that allows it to be submerged in up to 5 feet of water for 30 minutes, and still survive. Check it out by clicking on the video below.
