Video from Huawei reminds us that the P10 and P10 Plus both get announced in one week

Next Sunday, prepare to be overwhelmed by an avalanche of new phone announcements. For example, Nokia, Huawei and LG are each planning on unveiling some new handsets on February 26th; among the new models greeting the light of day will be the eagerly awaited LG G6 flagship, a possible high end phone from Nokia, and both the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus. And just to remind you about the latter models, Huawei has posted a video on social media.

The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are expected to be available in some unusual colors for a high-end smartphone. During the last week or so, Huawei has been posting video clips referencing different hues. The latest video posted today (found at the top of this story) not only includes different segments that show backgrounds in Purple, Gold, Green and Blue (possibly colors that the devices will be available in), it also reminds us that the P10/P10 Plus will have a dual-camera setup in back (#OO) and will be unveiled one week from today.

The world's third largest smartphone manufacturer has a pair of highly spec'd devices here. The phones feature a 5.5-inch screen carrying a 1440 x 2560 resolution, and are powered by a home-grown Kirin 960 chipset. The models will be equipped with an octa-core CPU and the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. Both cameras on back of the P10 and P10 Plus will be 12MP, and we could see a selfie snappin' 8MP front-facing camera. One rumored difference between the P10 and the P10 Plus is that the latter will offer a curved-edge display, compared to the flat screen found on the former.

Just one week to go until it will be raining smartphones from heaven. And on February 25th, the day before LG, Nokia and Huawei come to the stage, we will see the BlackBerry Mercury get its real name. Anything but DTEK70 will be welcomed.

PhoneArena will be at MWC, providing you with all of the breaking news, hands-on video and new product introductions that you crave. Check in often for the latest from Barcelona.

My problem with Huawei is that they are worst than Sammy at updates... Nougat for example it will not be available for the P8, their freacking flagship... other than that I am sure they have great hardware... ****and btw, I still not have nougat on my S7edge, in Switzerland**** unlocked no carrier. I hope it's delayed for fixing bugs because if they dare to delay it until end March it's bye bye SAmmy.

Hey, Huawei isn't known for updates, but at least for me, they've been pretty darn stable out of the gate. My first experience with a Huawei phone was the Mate2...it ran 4.3 for over a year before they skipped 4.4 and went to 5. I bought the Mate8 in November (when the price went WAY down due to the Mate9 being released), it has 6 and is still stable as can be. On the XDA boards, 7 is around, but it's still got a glitch with a few people, but is "suppose" to be available before the end of March...which is what? Almost a year after Google released it?

What's the point of a 5.5inch QHD P10 with Kirin960? It's released as the Mate 9 Pro already. And the Kirin 960 still isn't quite powerful enought for QHD.

Regular P10 Coming 5,2" FHD screen and P10 plus using 5,5"Curved QHD screen and coming all market area's, In contrast to the limited availability of Mate 9 Pro and its litle cheaper than mate 9 pro.

Of course it's powerful enough. It's a modern flagship cpu and the G71 is the top end mali gpu. It may only be an mp8. But I'm sure the package as a whole is more powerful vs the S6 which ran a QHD screen.

Because the Huawei P10 looks so similar then the P9 that i have, i think I'm gonna go for the P10, it's gonna hurt my wallet but i love Huawei phones, i have only skipped the Huawei P8 becuase it didn't look very appealing to me, the P9 i still love to this day, dropped this phone so many times and not once has the screen cracked, it's incredible, but if I'm gonna get the P10 I'm buying a case for it. I stay far away from Cr@pple and Samsungs, mostly because they are so overrated and common, not to mention boring.
