This is the HTC 10 in red (and it might not be widely available)
Yesterday, when HTC announced its newest flagship smartphone, the HTC 10, it showcased three color versions of it: Carbon Gray, Glacier Silver, and Topaz Gold. But there's a fourth color variant that received little attention: Camellia Red.

Right now, we know that the red HTC 10 will be available in Japan (via KDDI au, the country's second largest mobile carrier), and, thanks to Taiwanese website ePrice, we can take a look at some official renders of it. As you can see, only the back and sides of the handset are red, while the front panel is black. Still, the red HTC 10 has a very distinct aspect compared to the other color variants.

HTC didn't say if it's planning to release the red version of its new flagship in other markets except Japan, but we'll let you know if we find out anything about this.

Already available to pre-order, the HTC 10 should hit shelves beginning early May. In the US, only the 32 GB model of the phone will be sold - both unlocked, and via carriers (Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint). Do you plan to buy one?

Reminds me heavily of the Butterfly/butterfly 2 scheme...since JAPAN is only getting this variant

I bought the carbon, but I would have bought the red with no hesitation.

Red is sexy, In 2013 my friend had a red M7 and I was jelly with my white S4.

HTC, you just made a good phone that many people likes, and then you go back to this stupid kind of "exclusivity" move.... again… seriously?? are you joking??

Red black, silver black, or gold black. I like black color combination.

Super sexy color! Too bad no 64GB for the US. Dumb move there.

I think adoptable micro sd can solve your issue.

HTC hit it out of the ball park with the 10, though AT&T not carrying it is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of, also not having all the color variants available in the US is a little silly too, I'd love to have a white face glacial silver.

I'm not a complete fan. From the back it looks nice... Then I see the front. I reckon they could of went with a white face option, that would have looked nicer. But, people like it, so good on HTC. I'll be getting it if it gets a good review. Is it just me or is the home button not symmetrical? It's not in the middle, it annoys me.

The back and sides look really great, but the front ruins it all IMO. It should be red too.

I really don't like the color red in general, but in this case it's gorgeous. Damn.

My favorite color. Would have preferred to see the actual device and not a render though.
