That was quick: Samsung already updating all Galaxy Note II units with the multi-window mode
Now that was quick - just the other day we wrote that international units of the Samsung Galaxy Note II are shipping without that sweet multi-window operation mode that was demonstrated upon the unveiling in Korea, and now we have the update rolling out already.

Users are reporting that they have installed the newest XXALIJ1 Galaxy Note II software from Samsung, and it has brought on that multitasking regime that allows you to run to apps at once independent of each other, and resize their windows up and down as you see fit. The other things it brings are a new baseband, and Google Chrome.

Given that we have 5.5" screen real estate to work with, this might easily turn into the best software feature that the Note II has, and its applications are numerous. Makes us wonder, if those new Nexus program rumors are true, and we get the flagships with stock Android, while the manufacturer UI is just a theme, can we just pick the awesome features, and still remain stock? Probably not, but it should be food for thought for Google in the next Android iterations.
