Some Galaxy Note II units are shipping without the split screen multitasking feature

Some European users are reporting that their Galaxy Note II units don't feature the multitasking mode that Samsung showed recently in a promo video when releasing the handset in Korea. Apparently international units, including ours, ship with the earlier firmware, and don't have the multiwindow option yet.

Hopefully Samsung will be remedying this with an update to the latest firmware, but in the meantime you can watch what a pleasure it is to use this true multitasking regime in the video below.

It allows you to split the giant 5.5" screen, and use it for two apps instead of one at a time, resize the space for each app, and so on. The applications are numerous, and take the Android experience to a whole new level.
