T-Mobile's Sony Xperia Z3 has 32 GB of storage space, press photos now available
T-Mobile presented its Xperia Z3 on the same day Sony announced the handset, but it didn’t reveal too many details about it. Of course, T-Mobile’s Z3 can’t be too different from the model that’s already available in Europe and Asia - and, for the most part, it isn’t. The only difference that we’re seeing is related to storage space. The international Xperia Z3 features 16 GB of internal memory, while the T-Mobile variant comes with 32 GB (a microSD card slot is present in both cases).

Sony Mobile’s official website is now listing the Xperia Z3 for T-Mobile, seemingly confirming that the handset will be available only in black - while folks in other parts of the world can also get it in white, copper, and silver green.

We don’t know exactly when the Z3 will be released by T-Mobile, but we’ll probably find out later this week, on October 9 - when Sony’s going to host a press event in New York City.

The Z3 is Sony’s thinnest Xperia smartphone yet, and brings several improvements over the Z2, including a faster processor, an improved 20.7 MP rear camera, and a better 5.2-inch display (though its resolution has remained unchanged - 1080 x 1920 pixels). To find out more about the new handset, check out our Sony Xperia Z3 review.

I would like to try this phone just cuz of the camera. I know my Note 4 will have a good one but I think Z3 will have a better one.

Right on Genza- people should go out and try phones for them selfs. Don't pay attention to iFans or Droid fans. I have both iOS and android. Don't let people or websites make the decision for you. If you want to spend your money on #bendgate like I did good for you I'm happy with it but I can't wait for the Note 4.

Still wonder WHY companies don't already ditch the crappy 16GB for their flagships?

Well it should come with a dock charger, no need to mess with flaps. I know the Z2 had a dock charger. Hopefully the Z3 will follow in the same foot prints...

There is magnetic charging port on the side of the phone. With charging dock or some adapter like this one.http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/07/27/deff-micro-usb-to-magnetic-connector-adapter-review/ You can charge your phone without messing around with the flaps. For me its even better than qi wireless because its cheaper than wireless charging plate and i can keep using my phone in any position while charging. But if you really need Qi wireless charging support, probably because you already have a wireless charging plate. Wireless Charging Cover WCR14 is the only solution for you.http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/products/accessories/wireless-charging-cover-wcr14/

The only thing I dislike about the Z3's camera is that if you go with auto mode, you're only gonna be able to use 8mp of the 20.7mp. I was lost between the Z3 and Note 4, but after lots of youtube videos reviewing both I decided to go with the Note 4. Still, I am pretty sure who ever ends up with the Z3 won't regret it, it's almost a perfect phone imo.

As far as I know SA is likely to have problems with exposure and white balance. In a place that has good lighting with manual settings and full resolution (20.7MP) will give you better results than the SA at least in terms of details. And if you resized the 20.7MP to 8MP you can get better result than the SA. GSMArena comparison tool can give you an idea of what I mean. You can compare the 20.7MP sample with other phones like S5, 930 or 1520 to find out wich one better. SA is only good if you need ISO12800 for extreme low light without flash or long exposure/slow shutter speed.

In terms of low-light quality. I see the Z3 being a bit better. But in terms of typical usage, Samsung uses good imaging processing software with top of the line modules to achieve better day time and other environments with good lighting than the Sony phones. Samsung is one of the top 3 OEMs when it comes to camera quality such as balance, saturated, and detail. It should also be noted that incorporating OIS into the Note 4 has drastically improved the detail of low light photos. The S5 and the Note 4 use the same module, but the difference is night and day.

If they were to release a WP version on t-mo, I would buy if in a second. Such a great device, with the quality of Sony. Take this any day over the m8 with WP. Shouldn't be too hard to get WP on there with the virtual keys. C'mon Sony, make it happen!

Agreed. I wonder how it would match up with the HTC M8 Windows phone ...

Well the z3 is a better phone in many aspects. Faster processor, more ram, bigger battery and screen, among other things

I just wish it was thicker, playing between 8-9mm. Doesn't matter if it's thicker as long as it get's more space for the battery.

Sony claims it has 2 days battery life, PhoneArena tested it and it can last almost 10 hours of heavy usage, GSMArena tested it and the endurance rating is 101 hours. That's not enough for you?

Not just PA and GSMarena but almost all other reviews that I read, confirmed that Z3 does have incredible battery life.

Z3 - 85h endurance Z3C - 101h endurance Above 70h is best battery life.

Well it wouldn't hurt if they could give more battery life yes? And not just for that, durability is also one factor why I wish for an 8mm phone. I buy Sony's products but I don't like them going to the trend of making paper-like phones. Everybody knows what happened with that overrated iPhone 6+ and I trust Sony's engineer don't do designs just to become trendy.

The Z3's battery will deliver 2 days with moderate to heavy usage, I don't think anyone would ask for a better battery.

Don't bash Apple products too much. For iFans it's a religion. You criticize the big fruit for it's engineering flaws and they'll kill you with their irrational defense. I prefer Android because they accept their flaws and improve the product. Still waiting for WP OS to have something that will catch up with Android's functionalities.

Android doesn't make phones... It is an OS. Google doesn't even make phones... They team up every year with manufacturing companies to require certain hardware for their nexus tablets and phones. Google has no part in "engineering flaws" or accepting those that have them. I'm not even sure what you mean by "improve the product" either. Every company improves. I doubt Apple will make the same mistake twice. It is their first time coming out with multiple phones and they messed up on the bigger of the two. There is still the iPhone 6. And they replace any 6 Plus that was unintentionally bent. All you have to do is go to an Apple store when it happens. Or you could just return the phone. They accepted it the best they could. And the Z3 looks like a better looking and thinner iPhone. It definitely has it's similarities design wise to their previous iPhone versions, but it's definitely a lot better. The only problems with the phone are inaccurate colors and mediocre call quality. Those two things would have made this phone one of the best, but it's still one of the best in terms of overall quality. I wouldn't even consider any other phone running Android outside of this one. Companies should really learn to make a phone with quality, like this one, instead of dishing out a phone every 3 months with cheap materials and high internal specs.

Switching to T-Mobile, I never had any plans to buy a phone through the payment plan, but rather just buy phones outright. I might just change my mind.
