Sony schedules a "Demand Great" event for October 9, Xperia Z3-related announcements expected

Sony today sent out invites to a press event that’s going to take place on October 9 in New York City. While the company didn’t say exactly what it would announce on that day, the image put together by Sony (see it on the left - click to enlarge) reads that we’re “invited to demand great.”

Ever since it officially unveiled the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z3 Tablet Compact, Sony’s been promoting them with the hashtag #DemandGreat. So it’s pretty obvious that we should expect to see an announcement related to one of the new Xperias. Or two, or all three of them.

We already know that the Xperia Z3 is headed to T-Mobile USA. We also know that the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z3 Tablet Compact will be available to buy, unlocked, via Sony US Store. So perhaps the upcoming announcement will bring us news on specific availability - maybe via more US carriers? We’ll just have to wait and see.
