Symbian ^3 and S 60 powered Nokia handsets get update for Ovi Store
If you own a Nokia handset powered by Symbian ^ 3 or S 60 3rd Edition or S 60 5th Edition, the next time you head over to the Ovi Store, you might be in for a surprise. In order to maintain compatibility with some new back-end work Nokia has done and also to boost performance, the Finnish based firm is offering an upgrade of the Ovi Store.

Those who use Nokia handsets that qualify for the upgrade will see a  notice the next time they head to the store. On the S60 devices, you will have to tap on the downloaded file to install it on your handset, and accept the "update" prompts that will pop up on the screen. Symbian ^3 powered devices will be receiving the new v2.06.00042 of the online store while the S60 handsets will get v1.9.008.

If you have completed the download of either new version of the Ovi Store, feel free to jump right in and leave a comment all about the changes that you have noticed in the Ovi Store since the upgrade. Simply head over to the comments box below and share your experience with the upgrade.
