Sprint stores getting their EVO 4G supplies; Verizon to ship Droid Incredible again on 6/23
Judging from the amount of EVO 4G units that the bottom picture shows being received by a Sprint store, the pin-dropping carrier might be the best place for you to find a handset to satisfy a last minute urge you might have to buy the model. As far as the photo is concerned, we are told that this particular store has more boxes containing the Android 2.1 powered device that needs to be unloaded. If you have already pre-ordered the unit, well, you should have nothing to worry about. If you never got around to reserving a phone in advance, obtaining an EVO 4G on June 4th is a roll of the dice, a pick of the cards or the flip of a coin for you. In the worse case scenario, you might have to go through the same thing that Verizon customers did with the HTC Droid Incredible. Within an hour after launch on Verizon, the Droid Incredible was nowhere to be found and shipping dates were constantly being pushed back. Those ordering Big Red's flagship model today won't see their device shipped until 6/23. Perhaps those looking to buy the EVO 4G need to take notes from the Big Red customers impatiently forced to wait for their new phone.

I think potential sales are going to hurt since it's hard to grab the htc incredible. With the Evo out June 4th and the new iPhone coming in a week or two, verizon is going to be kicking themselves in butt since it's rumored that both these phones will have high initial supply. I know it's not verizon's fault though, it's htc's and samsung's fault at this point for the incredible.

If Samsung is supplying the screens for the Evo, Sprint will likely have the same issues that VZW did.

The reason for the HTC Droid Incredible delay is because Samsung is running behind on their AMOLED production, which gets sent to HTC for use in the Incredible. HTC can't manufacture the phone without the display, hence the delay. This does not effect TFT display production, which the iPhone and HTC EVO 4G both use.
