Sprint has an announcement to make tomorrow that "the other carriers are not going to like"

Sprint has an announcement to make tomorrow that
Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure has something big to say, so he will be holding a telephonic press conference tomorrow which starts at 12:15pm EST. While we don't know what the announcement will be about, Sprint has posted a countdown timer on its website. That usually indicates that something important is on the way.

In addition, Claure was channeling his inner John Legere when he tweeted out a message that said, "The other carriers are not going to like this...guaranteed." This announcement comes days after T-Mobile started offering its Binge On unlimited video streaming plan to new Simple Choice subscribers. Those subscribed for 3GB of data or more each month, can view streamed video from 24 providers without it counting against their monthly data allowance. Those with a 2GB plan can have their video streamed at 480p instead of 1080p. Thanks to the lower resolution, these customers will now be able to view three times the amount of streaming video compared to what they could have viewed before.

Will Sprint be able to take the spotlight off of the un-carrier? Don't forget to keep checking in tonight (to see if there have been any leaks) and tomorrow to see what Marcelo Claure has up his sleeve. Can Sprint disrupt the wireless industry? We shall find out soon.

I've stuck w Sprint for over 12 years mostly because of their "unlimited data" and I have a great plan, but they shouldn't be celebrating or acting like they've improved anything. Their network is horrible. At home i get LTE but if I walk about 4 blocks I suddenly drop to 3G. Then a few more blocks I get back onto LTE. This is how it is everywhere. My phone constantly gets stuck on apps trying get data because it can't keep up with the constant network switching. They need to fix their network and double check it before they start making all these promises or even charging anymore for their weak services.

I stuck with Sprint for 9 years, but dropped them my neighbor put on an addition to his house and my measly 2 bars went to 1, and I was getting constant dropped calls. Never got 4g at my house.

Its obvious what it is: No, not more bandwidth. Sprint store managers are going to be required to take a dump on the front step of another of the 3 major carriers stores of their choice before opening every morning. Duhhhh. The other carriers aren't going to like that.

All phones will be lent out to customers as long as they're paying for service. Upgrade every year or return the device after 18months. No additional fees for borrowing a device.

My mother and sister had sprint for YEARS and every time they would have issues in their homes where they only get like 1-2 bars etc. I just recently got them switch to TM with me and joined onto their family plan as it was much better deal. I been rocking TM for the last 2 years and have amazing service in my city and in my home

Well here's what we know... Softbank has no capital, so they won't be bidding on new spectrum or enhancing their coverage.. so whatever this surprise is, it will reside within it's current asset range.. They may offer truly unlimited data again.. Or they can announce an anticipated device as being exclusive. Alternately, they might slash prices on devices or offer new rates on their plans.. Finally, they might actually take this to mean they're upping their price on MVNO contracts in order to "shake the coconut tree" and see what falls on their side.

I've had Sprint service for about 15 years. I don't have any complaints about their service, but I think Sprint is a total tool-bag of a company. I don't even care of they go out of business.

hmmm, not holding my breath, sprint sucks, they straight up like about their new UNLIMITED PLAN to people. I was walking in the mall 2 weeks ago and one of the employees attempted to stop me and get me come check out what sprint has to offer and join their new unlimited plan. I laughed at him and told him sprint sucks which i sorta felt little sorry for a minute because it's not his fault

I have their service in the greater phoenix area and it works great for me unlike most it would seem.

Yeah, I am tired of him as well, but at least he has moved his company to #3. Sprint's talk is cheap, money talks and B.S. walks.

The announcement: Our coverage sucks, our prices suck, our customer service sucks. To do our customers a service, Sprint is ending ALL wireless service and shutting down our network. All of our assets will be sold off and we are exiting the wireless market because we cant seem to compete. Thank you for your time...
