Sprint gives family seven iPhones, 10 years of service, and a huge check on new FOX show
Imagine your surprise when you open the door to find David Beckham with a host of television cameras staring you in the face. That is what happened to the Gonzalez family on Friday's debut of Knock, Knock Live, Ryan Seacrest's new FOX show. The idea is that a camera crew goes to randomly selected homes with a celebrity in tow, ready to bestow prizes on homeowners.

The big winner on the debut show was a family that had actually been nominated for the honor of receiving a surprise visit from Beckham. The Gonzalez family was as excited as could be, welcoming the soccer star into their home. And since Mr. Beckham has become the new face of Sprint on television ads, the carrier used this air time for a bit of promotion.

Sprint (through Beckham) gave seven family members each a brand-new Apple iPhone. While the model wasn't revealed, we would assume it was the 4.7-inch Apple iPhone 6 that was handed out. Even better, Beckham then revealed that the family would have ten years of free service from Sprint. The carrier topped off their largesse by giving the Gonzalez family a check for $100,000.

So the next time your door knocks, you just might want to answer it. Your new iPhone could be on the other side.

My wife would be crying crocodile tears lol. She's way more of an iPhone fan than I am, I'd just make sure I got the check before she did, cause she'd hit every show store in town.

A $100,000 check? Yeah, you and I are on the same page about getting the check before the wife. lol. And I would gladly accept the iPhone. The only iOS experience I have is with my daughter's old iPod Touch.

right sucks it was sprint crap service i just switched to t-mobile after 13 years with sprint, but for real if he is working so hard why is he at home, i guarantee i work harder than him, i do air conditioning for free most of the time for people who need help i work 12 hours a day 7 days a week and help others after work, sprint should have saved the money from renting dave and the iphones and put that in the network repair, thats about 3 million they spent on commercial and dave and the phones and 10 years of service and 100k.

That is friggin awesome! What I'd do (and I know me), is cancel whatever cell service I, and my family had, and put away as much of that money every month as I consistently could for that 10 years. That would be a nice amount at the end.
