Sprint kicks off LG G6 Android 8.0 Oreo rollout
LG's last year flagship, the G6 has finally started to receive the long-awaited Android 8.0 Oreo update about two weeks ago, and the first carrier in the United States to offer the update was Verizon. Now, nearly two weeks later, Sprint has decided to provide customers who bought the LG G6 the same update.

If you own the LG G6 with model number LS993, you qualify for this sizable update. Apparently, Sprint's Android 8.0 Ore update for the LG G6 weighs in at 1.8GB, so you'll want to make sure that you have enough storage prior to downloading the update.

The very succinct changelog mentions the update “optimizes performance” and adds the May security patch, besides updating the operating system to Android 8.0 Oreo.

Two other US carriers, AT&T and T-Mobile, have yet to release Android 8.0 Oreo updates for the LG G6, but that should happen any moment now.
