Sony's most spec'd-out phone, the Xperia Z4v, coming to Verizon on August 13, price unknown

In case you've missed the news, Sony's most recent handset, the Xperia Z4v, is basically its most feature-packed smartphone ever. Announced a few weeks ago, the device is a pretty similar to the previously launched Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4, but with a few noteworthy differences in the specs sheet.

For example, it comes with a Quad HD display (it's the first Sony smartphone to do so), has a 3,000mAh battery, Qi wireless charging paired with Qulacomm's Quick Charge 2.0 tech, as well as IP65/68 water- and dust-resistance.

The specs sheet also features a Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of native storage and a microSD card slot (supporting microSD cards up to 128GB in size), a 20.7MP rear Exmor RS camera that shoots 4K videos at 30fps, a 5MP front-facing one for selfies.

This Sony powerhouse will be available for purchase exclusively on Verizon in roughly a month's time, starting August 13. It will be available in black and white, but sadly, the price is still unknown.

Are you getting it? We can help you decide with our hands-on of the device.

I was thinking less in lines with a username and more like an actual exploding star as a fun exaggeration of a documented heating issue... lol, is Supernova a Sony fan?

.Nope and never will. Actually, he's racist toward Japanese.

Hey since it's going to be hot all the time, you can slice some cheese with ease... This is clearly a must buy... One of it's features... the ultimate cheese slicer!

Damn, Sony went all out with this phone, It's the first smartphone to offer 6 GB of RAM. LOL, all joking aside, it does look like a nice device... assuming they can keep the processor temperature in check.

Not sure what's more annoying - all the popups, or the 3GB of RAM listed twice. Regardless, nice specs.

Typos happen, the popups on the other hand can be resolved with a simple add blocker. What browser are you running?

.... Log into the browser if you have a gmail account. Not only will it sync your links with any other computer with chrome, but it will also load your browser plugins across any and all computers you use, so setting up a home PC's Chrome browser with Ad Block Plus will get you the same plugin at work... though if it's a public computer where multiple people use, you might want to remember to log out of the browser before you step away. ... what the crap are you doing on Phone Arena at work anyway? I want your job! lol

You had me until you said 810 So if I put my S6 on top of the Xperia will it wirelessly charge it from the heat?

This is kind of a letdown. 1st SD 810. 2nd It isn't the premium glass and metal which I love about Xperia Z series. It is made of Polycarbonate.

A random dude in his basement testing the z3+ vs the S6? I'm guessing there's no chance in hell the s6 is faulty and there's no way he would try to make the z3+ better because Sony fans are honest right? Now should I link you to professional sites that test out how bad the z3+ overheats?

So it's being released a month before the Xperia Z5 comes out and Sony wonders why it's not making a profit.
