Murtazin has been known to be off the mark occasionally, so we need to take this report with the proverbial grain of salt. It is possible that the phone tested by Murtazin was the model now known as the Sony i1 Honami, which carries a 5 inch screen like the Xperia Z, but is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. This model is supposed to have the best camera of any Android handset with interchangeable lens and is expected to be IP58 certified for water and dust. It is believed that this unit will sell unlocked in the states, free from the clutches of subsidies and two-year contracts. Looking for a time frame? Perhaps we will see the Sony i1 Honami touch down in September or October.
