So just what was in Apple's Lucky Bag this year?
Last month, we told you that Apple would continue its annual Lucky Bag promotion in 2015. Today is the day that Apple, and other Japanese retailers, stuff bags full of merchandise and sell it at a discount. Japanese Apple Stores sold about 300 bags each this year, for a total of 2500 units that were purchased.  Apple offered four different bags, valued from $640 to $1280. Consumers spent $300 for their Lucky Bag, and had no idea which one they were buying.

Each Lucky Bag contained an Apple TV, a special New Year's edition of the Mophie powerstation, a pair of Beats PowerBeats2, an iTunes gift card valued at $8 and an Incase ICON Slim Pack backpack, which contained all of the above items. In addition, each bag included one major Apple device.

The big prize this year was the bag that featured an 11-inch Apple MacBook Air and other accessories, including a limited edition Power Support Air Jacket. Another bag, said to be worth $1070, replaced the MacBook Air with a 16GB Apple iPad Air 2. Another bag worth $814 had a 16GB Apple iPad mini 3 in place of the iPad Air 2. The most widely received bag had a 16GB Apple iPod Touch inside.

That Macbook Air lucky bag would be awesome. Say what you will about Apple but their Macs are pretty kick-butt. I'm really enjoying my new 13 inch Macbook air and it's a huge step up from my $400 Dell laptop I had. I'm definitely an Android fan for phones but Apple makes some awesome computers.

Though I love the iphone, I have always been a pc guy (and still am) but the macbook I just got not too long ago is brilliant. Always runs smooth and it's clear a lot of thought went into it.

Had always always been a Windows user, but when I went looking for a premium portable laptop, with long battery life, hi-res screen, and video editing performance, I quickly realised the MBP retina's actually offered better value for money than comparable PC laptops, so I got one and after the small learning curve I am more than pleased with my Mac. But phones... I think Android phones offers much better value :)

THAAANNKK yOUU!!!!! idk WHY apple cant transfer their Computer Know-how into their PHONE Know-how!!! n if u think im just an apple hater im not, i have a Macbook Pro serving me wonderfully thank you!! but as 4 the iHate, it all started when the iphone 1st came out with its Awesome pictures (from its Software i later found out) to it also being an ipod, n to its Apps. i wold even say the catch phrase "theres an app for that," to almost every one!! but when i went to go get one seriously, i realized its dope camera, DIDNT HAVE A FREAKIN FLASH!!!!!!! other wise i would have bought it n been an isheep from the start. i mean, WHY would u NOT put a Flash on the BEST mobile camera to date!?!?!??! apples STEWPID blunder made me buy a Samsung Omnia, a windows mobile pro phone, wit almost no apps save MS office mobile suite, n Google maps. look at the samsung omnia pics n specs and ull see how it should have KILLLED the iphone, but it made a crucial error. it saved the txts, emails, n other data somehow in the phones ONBOARD memory nstead of the INternal 8gb storage it came with in ADDITION to the sd card slot. so the phone just got bogged down n shltty. o well. so thats y i hate iphone.

They are nice laptops, but comparing it to a 400 dell isn't the proper thing to do. It should be a big step up.

True, but its really all I have to go off of. I by no means dislike Windows (although Windows 8 isn't exactly my favorite version of it), I think a Surface Pro 3 would be awesome but the form factor wasn't really what I wanted and I REALLY wanted the incredible battery life the Air has.

Lenovo t440s would be a good comparison as far as form factor/battery life. Looks aren't close though

Their laptops are nice, but their desktops are awful. Who would be stupid enough to put the power button and USB ports on the back of the monitor?

to be fair, i hardly EVER need to touch the power-button on my mac. n its a laptop! i jus close it, or shutdown from the menu!! so its probably similar on apple desktops, or even Rarer that their power buttons need pressing. n i think usb on back is to have a "hide the clutter" effect. which is fine. u should have bluetooth keyboard n mouse neways tho, unless ur gaming n need the extra milliseconds. n u can always get a usb Hub wit a long cord if u REALLY dont like the location that much. so u say stupid, i say, acceptable.

You've just confirmed you do nothing serious with your computer or at least choose to gimp yourself. Hubs, bluetooth accessories etc are all useless for any real utility.

u swear....... even the thunderbolt has a hub device, i think, or they have long cords. n u have to get an AMPLIFIED usb hub if u want the same performance out ur device. i have a 10 port hub device n u gotta plug it in, and its worth every penny to not plug, n unplug device after device. n bluetooth is perfectly useful man, what r u talking about?!?!?! listen to music much? use ur phone as a mousepad much? didnt think so

I personally don't see the appeal in All-in-ones in general but that's me. If I wanted a desktop computer, I'd invest in something thats very expandable. Sure you can replace the RAM on an iMac, but I'd build my own Windows desktop or save up for a Mac Pro if I absolutely needed a powerful desktop.
