Six new features to expect from the Samsung Galaxy S6

Six new features to expect from the Samsung Galaxy S6
Samsung's upcoming S6 flagship is shaping up to be the biggest design and interface overhaul in the Galaxy line history, all rumors indicate, not to mention that it will likely come stuffed to the gills with the latest in screen and camera tech, as well as processing power.

Let's start with getting the specs out of the way first. The handset is expected to have the newest chipsets, presumably Exynos 7 Octa, or some might ship with Snapdragon 810, depending on the region, but also a 5.1" Quad HD display, and a high-res 20 MP camera, depending on what leaks you chose to believe in. The high-res camera might be reserved for either only the regular, or only the dual-edged version of the S6, though, as the phone's benchmarks have leaked with both 16 MP and 20 MP modules. Said Galaxy S6 Edge model is purportedly going to be produced in a limited batch, like Samsung did with the Note Edge, gauging the popularity of such a device.

We will apparently also get a sealed "half-metal" chassis, whatever that means, which will allegedly be combined with glass elements. Long story short, a lot will change with the Galaxy line heritage when the flagship arrives, so take a peek at the most intriguing new features that the S6 is alleged to bring.

I hope the metal chassis is true because I really love the S6 and want to let haters know that Samsung is truely innovative.

And then you put all those metal/glass phones in a case. Metal bezels and removable rubbery back for me, please.

The phone is not even announced and you're loving it? I see no difference between you and those brainwashed Apple fans who loves everything with that fruit logo. It's painful to see comments section of technology sites these days are full of subjective fangays rather than objective techno guys. ._.

The comment section should be mixed with trolls, fanboys, and haters to feel more enjoyable for readers. But I'm not one of them, I'm a pure tech lover, just love Samsung and express my opinion about it. Not all posts here are from tech guys. Take it easy, dude!

This. So many times this. I loved my Note 2,3, and now 4 because regardless of the very hated touchwiz, these are the most advanced phones in the world. It's not just about features. It's about the user never feeling like something can't be done. Let me tell you, MW in conjunction with floating videos, air view, and the S Pen are things no other manufacturers even worry about. That's why Samsung is best. They've always thought about YOU having as many features as you could get. They single handedly made LG and HTC throw micro sd back in the M8, AND G3.

A metal case is innovative? I think you need to Google the term innovative. Besides, there are already phones with this lol!

I meant the S6 would be an example of innovation from Samsung considering it has dual edge screen, superamoled display and many more attractive features.

Actually yes a metal case can be innovative. How? Well on the Note 4, even though its not the whole case, the sides are made of a mix of aluminum and magnesium which gives it strength. It takes time and effort to have the right combination of the 2 to make a solid piece of metal that is still lite, but yet rigid enough to be solid. Both of which Apple failed miserably at. As we saw with the iPhone, Apple simply used cheap aluminum and the phones bent with just putting tem in your pockets. This wont happen to a Note 4 or likely not the S6 either. If that it the picture of the S6, I am so tempted to buy it to have as a spare for my Note 4. I hope the Note 5 follows the S6's design.

Who cares what the case is made of? You'll be putting on a case and a screen protector the day you buy it anyways. As a construction worker, I've never walked out of best buy or Verizon without having a great screen protector and a solid case on every phone I've ever owned. They break too easy anyways so why not put something on it.

But still, everyone wants premium metallic body to show off to his friends that they have a good-looking smartphone.

Not everyone does. I don't. I typically with Samsung phones buy a flip cover which isn't a protective case, but a decorative option that offers other features built into the phone.

Galaxy Alpha like metal frame will be great for S6.

It is even more innovative. There are lots of things I can do on Note 4 that I can't do on iPhone 6 Plus.

Innovative in copy-ing design? LoL.

I'm ambivalent about the metal body. Yes it will or should look nice. But I have never owned a phone that I did not protect with a case.

What you really wanted to say was that you love the iPhone 6 and you want to let the hates know that Samsung is truely a copycat. Seriously, what is innovative about this iPhone clone?

I'm guessing you mean this is the best Samsung design you have seen by far. If not, you have a clear bias towards Samsung.
