Samsung Smart Glow is a new twist on LED notification lights

In addition, Smart Glow can be used when taking selfies with a phone's rear camera. When the Smart Glow light starts circulating the rear camera lens, it will mean that a face has been detected and that the camera will take a picture within seconds.
It isn't clear which phones will be receiving the Smart Glow feature, but the current buzz says that it will appear on the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) in India. Having said that, there still is a possibility that Smart Glow will be found lighting up the rear camera on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
The slideshow contains a leaked guide on how to use Smart Glow. Check it out by clicking on the images below.

Good for you Samsung, keep in following Apple trails, maybe you'll arrive one day.

This is VERY useful. The front led on the S7 edge lights up different colors depending on the notification. Many times I don't even unlock my phone right away because I already know it's just an email, or a request for an app update. I know who is texting me by the color of the led. Very handy. Now we'll be able to see the same when the phone is screen down. Very practical in my opinion.

The G2 had a notification light at the back, surrounding the power button. I had it and it was really cool and useful. Also, the HTC Butterfly had two LEDs for notification, one in the front and another one in the back (independent from the camera flash)

I like how these patents are based on old designs, loudspeaker next to rear camera, headphone jack on top.

I like my concept with the inset glass notification area down the center back of the phone, protected by metal around it. With either LEDs or a secondary screen under the glass. The glass also makes wireless charging etc easier, but isn't as fragile or exposed as the current S7.

I thought I saw a video where LG had this on their home button, but hasn't used it yet? Anyway its only a good idea if you place your phone upside down. I rather it be around the home button, or speaker grill on the top.
