Samsung SM-G850 (another possible Galaxy S5 Active version) listed on several Samsung websites
We recently heard that the unannounced Samsung Galaxy S5 Active would be released in the US, both via AT&T (with the model number SM-G870A) and Sprint (as the SM-G860). Now it looks like the handset also has a version that’s made for Europe.

Sammy Today discovered an SM-G850F, saying that this is supposed to be an international variant of the S5 Active. The SM-G850F already has support pages at Samsung Norway, Samsung Sweden, and Samsung Finland. Unfortunately, the support pages only mention the smartphone’s model number, without providing images or other details.

The S5 Active should have the same 5.1-inch 1080p display of the regular Galaxy S5 (pictured above), but it might be a bit larger overall - possibly because it has a rugged body and extra protection against water.

Other features that the S5 Active should offer include LTE, NFC and a 2,800 mAh battery. We don’t know if the Galaxy S5 Active will have a heart-rate sensor like the regular S5 - but it probably will (after all, it’s supposed to be made for active people).

Samsung could announce the Galaxy S5 Active in the near future, but that's just a wild guess.

Umm I am a Samsung fan but the Sony Xperia Z2 is a much nicer looking phone. I am NOT getting an S5 for the wife, I am going Z2. I can clearly say that, & again I am a Samsung Fan. Now when the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes out, NOTHING will stop me from grabbing that water proof beast.

Way to go! The Z2 is a really nice phone! You won't regret it. As a previous Note3 owner, I kinda miss TW features though. I'm looking foward to the Note 4.

Samsung makes multiple versions of Flagship Why not to combine all and out in just 1?? Galaxy s5 active Waterproof Galaxy k zoom for camera Galaxy prime for qHd display Galaxy S5 or J for premium That means sony is doing a better job in mantaining all stuffs into a single Smartphone even for 6 months And by keeping it at slimmest flagships among all OEM

I'm pretty sure they're doing something right if they're the #1 OEM in selling phones.

Living out of the fame they already got for older handsets... I kind of agree with axislova that they should focus on less devices at this point of their popularity... though they ARE doing many things right when it comes to each features... the Camera is currently the best @ less MP... the sound is very clean and good... the screen is also one of the best... So yeah... is not like they are shooting themself in the foot

Well actually they are not doing bad in Europe and some Asian countries... The problem is Sony in the US... they rather sell directly through stores and not with carriers... I do care about them, but trying not to be a blind follower, mostly because my current phone is a Tank... it has survived every drop as if it were a 3310... But I know I can't count on this being the norm for newer phones... but I will definitely upgrade to a new Sony when time is due...

At the end of this year I guess Samsung will set a new record for most flagship/high-end devices in a single year.

Curious to see this one, I guess it'll be amazing... hoping they won't replace the awesome camera as they did with the S4 active.. I was about to get the S4 active last year but the camera threw me off ...
