Deal: Samsung Gear S3 and Gear Sport are now cheaper than ever
With a new Gear S4 smartwatch coming soon, Samsung wants to make sure customers aren't losing interest in its current range of smartwatches, including the Gear S3 Classic, Gear S3 Frontier, and Gear Sport. These watches have been part of various promotions and offers recently, but the latest deal from Samsung - available starting today, April 29 - is the greatest yet.

For a limited time, Samsung is taking $70 off the Gear S3 Classic, Gear S3 Frontier, and Gear Sport, thus offering them for the lowest prices to date. Any of the two Gear S3 models can be bought for $279.99 (instead of $349.99), while the Gear Sport is being sold for $229.99 (instead of $299.99). Mind you, only the non-LTE variants of the Gear S3 Classic and Frontier are included in this deal.

Samsung doesn't say when this new offer expires. In any case, the deal is available not just on Samsung's own website, but also at Best Buy and Amazon - source links for all locations can be found below.

Update: You may also be able to find the Gear S3 Frontier for only $249.99 at Costco, although you'd need to be a Costco member for this (with membership costing $60 per month).

As you may know, the Samsung Gear S3 and Gear Sport feature rotating bezels, run TizenOS and are compatible with Android and iOS devices. You can take a closer look at the smartwatches in our Gear Sport review and Gear S3 Frontier review.

Instead of these smartwatches which have to be charged every day, just get a Pebble watch (even if at end of life) for 1/3 of the price and enjoy 7-8 days of battery life, true always-on display and, most importantly, doing what you actually want them to do and not inadvertently launching AI assistants on every button press or tap.

the charging happens each 2 days and a half in normal usage for frontier. Even it the most used day, with AOD, gps tracking and music via Bluetooth, still last a day and a half..

The time I knew some watches have 10 years battery life or never need to be charged (solar), my standard couldn't go lower than that. Except for G-Shock's 5 year battery life. Watches should be free of worrying or anxiety of running out of battery.

Which is why I still with a "dumb" watch. Casio, 10 year battery life, huge display, 3 time zones at the same time, day/date. All for less than 80 bucks. Personally, all that other nonsense on a smartwatch is just gimmicks. My phone is always within arms reach (belt clip), and I use a BT headset for the phone which tells me of messages, caller ID, hands free answering etc.

My Automatic Seiko 5 still go fine, no charge need and the best part is if sell it today the value probably still the same 20 years ago.
