Deal: Purchase a Samsung Galaxy S7 and get a free $250 Best Buy Gift Card

Best Buy is kicking off its Black Friday 2016 deals early. As of today, November 17, the retailer has an offer that should interest you if you're planning to buy a high-end Android phone activated on Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint. The offer lets you purchase a Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, or Galaxy S7 Active, and receive a $250 Best Buy Gift Card. You'll also get a free Samsung Gear VR headset, plus a $50 Oculus Content pack.

In order to qualify for the $250 Gift Card, you need to buy your Galaxy S7 and activate it on AT&T Next, Verizon Device Payment, or Sprint 24-Month Installment. T-Mobile customers can't take advantage of this offer, since Best Buy isn't selling any high-end phones from the magenta carrier.

The $250 Gift Card offer doesn't exclude a Best Buy trade in offer that's been available for some time now for Verizon and Sprint customers - trade in "any working smartphone", and get an additional Gift Card of up to $200. For full details, check out the source link below.

Good deal and incentive to keep the sales flowing... Though on Sprint's 24-month Installment, this turns into a crappy deal.

They're really pushing the Galaxy S7. I think there are better choices out there.

That makes the price of the phone like $360, what better flagship phone are you going to get for that price. None

Though it might sound like a good deal, it isn't, you will have to pay taxes and activation charge. So if you subtract $250 from $907 (for at&t, 8% taxes and $45 activation fee included), you are paying $657. On b&h you can get a unlocked exynos without carrier bloatware rootable version with 1 year warranty for $580 (no tax if outside NY) with a optional 2 year protection for $100 extra.

Upgrade Fee or Activation fee with AT&T Next is $20 not $45. $45 activation or upgrade fee is only on devices with a 2 year contract which is only available on Tablets, Wearables, Mobile Hotspots and Wireless Home Phone.

Now that is only a good deal if you have other stuff to buy at best buy and want a VR.

Am I nuts or am I not seeing the Gear VR bundle offer anywhere on Best Buy's site? Just the $450 in gift cards
