Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 promotional images surface; Android powered clamshell soon to be official?
Last month, the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 was certified by Chinese regulatory agency TENAA. The handset is an Android powered smartphone with one twist; it uses the clamshell form factor made popular by featurephones like the ultra popular Motorola RAZR V3 in the early years of this century. The name gives away the fact that this is a second generation model.

Based on the device's TENAA certification, the Galaxy Folder 2 will carry a 3.8-inch screen with a 480 x 800 resolution. The Snapdragon 425 chipset is under the hood, featuring a quad-core 1.4GHz CPU and the Adreno 308 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of expandable native storage. A 128GB capacity microSD slot is available for those seeking additional storage. An 8MP camera adorns the back with a front-facing 5MP shooter snapping selfies and handling video chats. A 1950mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android 6.0 is pre-installed. The phone will come with dual-SIM capabilities.

Some new promotional images have just been discovered on Weibo for the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2. The images could be giving us a sign that the phone will soon be unveiled. To view them, click on the slideshow below.
