Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro photographed wearing new Black Jade color
Last month, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro was unveiled. At the time, it was announced that Samsung's first handset to sport 6GB of RAM would be offered in Gold and in Rose Gold. But photographs found on the weibo account of Samsung Design chief Shane Lee supposedly show off the Galaxy C9 Pro in a new color called Black Jade. This is the second new "Black" related color recently displayed by Sammy.

Just a couple of days ago, pictures of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge in Glossy Black appeared. Samsung is said to be making this color available in order to compete with the glossy Jet Black version of the Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus. It also brings back interest in a phone that will soon be nearing the one-year anniversary of its unveiling.

The Glossy Black Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is expected to hit the U.S. market next month in time to reap some holiday shopping revenue. We have no word yet on when the Black Jade Galaxy C9 Pro will be offered overseas. Remember, this is a photo taken off the verified weibo page of Samsung's Design Chief in China; this means that there is a huge probability that the photos in the slideshow at the bottom of this story are legit.

Just noting the timing and resemblance of color names.

Maybe reference the note 7 which was done in the same black before a certain fruit company.

It was not all black, the bezel around the sides was not black, it was not painted metal, but plastic layer behind glass, it was not called a name similar to jet black. I don't give a crap who's copying. Just noticed that they changed their onyx black to jade black (sounds very close to jet black - which is apparently a thing now).

The thin metal bezel on the note 7 most certainly was black. You may be thinking of s7 which was brushed aluminum.

The Note 7 did come with a matt black finish trim on the side.

Samsung have a JET BLACK named devices for years such as the Note3, Gear and laptops. The glossy aluminum material is maybe the only one they copy from iPhone and not the name of color.

Not just the Note 3, even the original Gear, and bunch of their official accessories were released in black color that was officially named as Jet Black.
