Reports say: Galaxy S7 to have USB Type-C port
So, this year, we are starting to see the first smartphones with USB Type-C roll out. What this means is that Android users will get reversible ports – a-la Apple Lightning – as well as faster data transfers. Currently, the phones that don the new ports are few and far between – the OnePlus 2, Xiaomi Mi 4i and Xiaomi Mi 4c, Google's new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, and possibly some other not-so-well-known handsets. Well, it seems that next year may actually be Type-C's time to shine.

According to SamMobile — a site which is usually pretty on-point with its Samsung rumors — informed sources have said that the Galaxy S7 will have the new USB port. We're curious to see if the company will axe its fast charging tech in the name of a reversible cable, though. At least thus far, we haven't seen a USB Type-C handset emplying Qualcomm's Quickcharge. Otherwise – the benefits of Type-C certainly sounds like something Samsung fans would enjoy.

Are you sick of micro USB, or do you just not care about that whole deal with ports?
