Poll results: Samsung Galaxy S6 or the S6 edge?
Samsung took the stage on Sunday, and unveiled not a flagship, but rather two - the Galaxy S6 and the S6 edge - which are seemingly one and the same handset, just that the S6 edge comes with a slightly bent display on the sides.

Upon closer inspection, however, the Galaxy S6 edge is different enough from the stock S6 to (nudge, wink) warrant a higher price tag, just as the Note Edge is to the Note 4. Well, not exactly, as the new edgy flagship from Samsung brings many new features to the table, warranted by the double-bent panel.

Some of these differences are artificially created by Samsung, like the exclusive colors that are only present on one of the two devices, while others separate the two in a more organic way, such as the dimensions and weight. Check out all the differences between the two new Samsung flagship in the slideshow below - they might give you a hint why 70% of our poll respondents prefer the Galaxy S6 edge over the "regular" S6, at least on paper.

Samsung should have just released the Galaxy S6 edge as the galaxy S6.. it would have been way more epic that way and besides samsung has to many phones already out there to be adding two more!

Maybe they're still testing the waters on how consumers will react to non-conventional display.

Yeah am sure that the reason... but I sort of felt like that was the whole point of a note edge!!!

Being a limited edition device with a single 'edge' display, I think the Note Edge won't bring pertinent conclusions to the table.

Adding 2 more? The S comes out every year since the first one. This isn't 2 phones. Yes it is 2 devices, but it is one phone. It is the S6. It is simply 2 variations. It is one model. It is just like the S5, S5 Mini, S5 Active, S5 LTE. They are variants of one model, do to carrier restriction, country and more.

Casting the poll doesn't mean taking money out of people's pocket. So I suspect how many people will really be spending more and getting the S6 Edge.

Well this was tricky question. I like more look of S6 edge but think I'll go with regular one in black.

I like the edge more. But if I was to buy, I would pay the extra 150$ for additional storage option on usual version.

That green color on edge is awesome, if green color is available on regular, then i will go with regular model.

it depends on the different price between them: under $70: S6 edge over: S6

I realistically expect a $100 premium. But word on the street is that the Edge may start at 64GB. Not confirmed ; just rumor.

That would mean the S6 and the S6 edge would be exactly the same price for 64gig and above Samsung Netherlands is already accepting pre-orders and it costs €700 for the standard S6 (32GB) and €850 for the S6 edge (32GB), which will probably translate to a $100 difference in the states

Who says Samsung doesn’t innovate? I am starting to see other manufactures announcing curved displays. All thanks to Samsung. By 2016 nearly all new phones will be curved.

Definitely the Edge. But price plays a factor. If there is a big difference in pricing between the S6 and Edge then by all means I'll go for the S6 if my phone were to be broken.

note 4 is better than note edge and s6 edge is better than S6 end of story.

Edge for me! What a beautiful device and I like the functionality of the edge screen. I currently have an iPhone 6 128GB, and I love it, but I'm not going to be able to resist the S6 Edge. I will be patient, but I will probably have one before this year is out, and I'm hoping the price will be more S6 levels later on in the year. Samsung has done a great job future proofing these devices, so I could even wait until just before the launch of the S7 (Edge), at which point the price will definitely drop.

Likely the S6. I'm not convinced that holding the S6 edge would be as comfortable, though real world use could prove me wrong. Also, I'm not particularly inclined to spend $100+ dollars on what is ultimately a cosmetic feature.

The phone is also faster due to the design, I be thing will also have better cell phone range due to the glass on the sides as per the note edge
