Here's what you can do with the Galaxy S6 edge side screens: a features walkthrough
Samsung got all eyes on its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge flagships the other day, and it's the Edge that picked everyone's attention with its unorthodox side-sloping display, that is the only thing which separates it from the "plain" S6, if we don't count the slightly different dimensions, and the larger battery.

Galaxy S6 edge comes with a flexible AMOLED panel that has a plastic, instead of glass substrate, and bends over both the left and right edges of the new flagship, utilizing Samsung's proprietary 3D Thermoforming method. Besides the cool factor, these edges can glow in different colors depending on who the caller is, for instance, among other cool things.

What exactly are these unique extra features that the flexible AMOLED brings? Well, we snapped a few shots at the MWC expo to demonstrate, here's a walkthrough of the things you can do with the S6 edge side-sloping panel out of the box.

I hope this features come to note edge,...

People who will buy this phone will do this because of the cool and different design, not the features.

Thx you, I find this form factor and features useless. If I did, rather buy the regular flavor Galaxy 6. Besides, when screen breaks, they are going to charge an additional $200.

Garbage Edge device............ thats like a small curve. atleast the Note Edge had an actual edge.

That's because Samsung still wanted to make device somewhat usable, because, you would be touching stuff 'accidentaly' all the damn time, if the curve was steeper.

Lol. talking abouto copycat, you've gotta look back at LG Prada, the mother of touchscreen phone. Apple iphone design was obvisouly the LG Prada clone. Who can't make a glass back phone? Are you serious?

That's a gimmick. It's 'hard' to see notifications with little fonts and with new behavior for seeing it. Better see notifications on lockscreen, bigger fonts. And samsung wants to rule the world with their products. Greedy. Take all while you can, hahah. I kinda like the stylus on Note. But, a stylus pen can be bought separetely. And Note not the only device by being the place for a stylus pen yo

I like that it's new an different but I still maintain that the curved screed hasn't been shown "yet" to have any real functionality. Someone will enable this on S6 and it will work just as good. How about leave your phone face up instead of face down. I don't just leave my screen grinding around face down on any surface. And don't you lose all of the functionality of having amoled notifications pop up if your screen is face down? The use cases for this "feature" are really pathetic so far. I like it and all but just don't try to pretend that it's useful.

With the exception of Color-coded ID, Samsung could have put all those 'features' in the standard S6 and it would have still worked well. If you want to see who's calling, why not just have the phone face-up? Apparently Color-coded ID only works in the dark because you can hardly see the colors, even on a white table.
