Poll results: Do you think an HTC One M9 Plus will be announced later this year?

On Sunday, HTC confirmed all the rumors surrounding the One M9, it's newest flagship smartphone, which will be launched around the world starting later this month. What the Taiwanese company didn't confirm was the existence of a larger One M9 version, which, according to some sources, should be called One M9 Plus.

Unlike the One M9, which has a 5-inch 1080p display, the One M9 Plus is supposed to sport a 5.2-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) screen. In addition, the larger handset should have a fingerprint scanner.

Since we don't think that the One M9 will remain the only HTC flagship smartphone of 2015, we recently ran a poll to ask you if you thought that the One M9 Plus would be announced sometime later this year. The poll results are now in, showing that a large proportion of voters (67.5%) believe and hope that the One M9 Plus - or at least a device with its specs - will be introduced this year. On the other hand, 32.5% of voters don't think that there's an M9 Plus in HTC's 2015 product roadmap.

As you may remember, back in January, @evleaks revealed a render (seen above) that allegedly showed the M9 next to the M9 Plus. Needless to say, the real One M9 looks different. But, who knows, maybe the One M9 Plus - assuming it exists - will look like in that image.

Do you think HTC will announce the One M9 Plus (or a Quad HD version of the M9) later this year?

If it does lets hope it offers something more attractive. M9's speaker grills were dissappointing after seeing all the renders showing speaker slits like those on the desire eye.

With QHD Do you think M9 Plus will Overheat like the Original??

There's no proof that original overheats. Don't point to that Antutu overheating article as the software is pre-release.

not it will not heat like like the original one, as SD 810 has over heating problems but I m sure that mediatek chips will do fine....rather than that they could go for broadcom or others etc...

They shouldn't try to fight the Note 5 yet so they really shouldnt. But knowing HTC they might be dumb enough to try. If they were going to do it, the dual launch method that Apple used with the 6 and 6 plus would be the best way to enter. Then if it's popular, then split the release dates.

Its not gonna happen, HTC showed me that they make the HTC One series and they are fine with that. If they were going to release a phablet style phone they would of done it at MWC, They would be the first High End Phablet out this year with the best specs and let the other catch up later in the year.

It's kind of a shame, that fake render of the M9 in the editorial shot looks more ideally like what the actual M9 should have been.

If the normal version of the M9 costs 750E the plus one must cost close to 850E

What would be Great if HTC were to announce would be that they Will Release an HTC ONE M9 Plus and also an HTC ONE MAX 2. If HTC would Release an HTC ONE MAX 2 that would be 5.9" or Larger, I Will Upgrade Immediately!!!!

My hope is they listen to the post-release chatter and use it to finalize the specs for a mid-year release of a segment leading piece of 5.5", fingerprint scanning equipment with an even better camera .

I don't want to think because every time I think about my dear HTC they disappoint me...so I will probably give up thinking and just enjoy in my M8
