Pokemon GO gets its first Generation 3 Legendary Pokemon, but only for a limited time

Pokemon GO fans rejoice, as developer Niantic has just confirmed the game will be visited by a Legendary Pokemon for the next several weeks. Groudon may be the game's first Generation 3 Legendary Pokemon that players will have the chance to catch starting this week.

Groudon is a Ground-type Legendary Pokemon that was originally discovered in the Hoenn region. He should start showing up in Raid Battles around the world in the next couple of days. Players should look for Groudon at Gyms near them if they want to be among the first to catch the Legendary Pokemon.

Keep in mind that Groudon, the Legendary Pokemon will only be available for a limited time, which means he will stop appearing in the game once we hit 1:00 p.m. PST on January 15, 2018.

Even if you won't get lucky, there's a high chance the Niantic will bring yet another Legendary Pokemon to take Groudon's place once he goes away next month.
