Pixel Player is a customizable, lightweight, and powerful music player built for Android by kcrims from XDA Developers. In its list of features, you will find a Material Design inspired interface, customizable colors, gapless playback, lockscreen & notification controls. There are drag & sort queue management, 3 types of widgets, headset button controls, an equalizer (with DPS and Bass Boost support), artwork download, and tabbed interface.

But there's lots more, too. Stuff like long-pressing a song and having it play as the next one if shuffle is enabled, or the app closing itself if nothing has been playing for a while to save battery life.

Although Pixel Player is free, it also has a $0.99 paid Pro version that includes Folder Tabs, Hide Tabs, and some more functionality. Since Pixel is a fairly new app, it's being developed constantly and enthusiastically, so if you are into 3-rd party MP3 players, you might have just found a new favorite.

Xperia "Walkman" is the best Music Player. Used two Xperia device and I love Sony Media Apps. Using Sony Media Apps (Album, Movies and Walkman) on Oneplus one and Love it

That's true. Sony media apps are a lot better than any other brand.

Took them a damn long time for the Walkman app to catch up to the "Walkman" app in Walkman's with folder view and return to album view. But they got there and it's real intuitive now. But overall it's still not better because they don't have unscaled album art and quick menu view.

No. I tried to use Walkman, only thing it does well is that it looks fantastic. But it lacks lyrics support, fetching covers usually doesn't work, you can't shuffle songs if you picked one from "search" option, clearaudio+ is just a gimmick and plain equalizer setting, every audiophile will tell you that. If there would be player with Walkman's design and PowerAMP/PlayerPro funcionality it would be ideal. But for now these two players are best on android. Album by Sony is really good app, actually best gallery I've used but Movies isn't something special, MX Player is much better though it doesn't look half as good. Z3 Compact owner.

PlayerPro and PowerAmp are the two best music players on android. They've been around since android 2.1 so they have stood the test of time and updates.

PowerAmp is the best for me...dont like playerpro at all(mainly because of the looks) ...Samsung's own music player on their latest flagship phones is also doing great..

I installed the Walkman app, what's so great about it over any other music player? It looks crowded and busy.
