Leak-based render shows the Pixel 3 XL in Panda and Kinda Blue... and it's kinda cool!
OK, so the Pixel 3 XL is one of the more highly-anticipated smartphones to land in the second half of this year. The third generation of the Google flagships should be coming out around October and we're already getting a steady influx of leaks and rumors about them. We're at a point where the leaksters are reaffirming each other's information, meaning we may actually know how the Pixel 3 XL will end up looking like.

Now, design artist @PhoneDesigner has tweeted a few renders, which compile everything we know about the phone and gives us a nice look from all sides. As an added touch, the designer has made variants that show the phone in the Kinda Blue and Black and White (Panda) color variants, which we saw on the Pixel 2 last year.

Please mind that we have no exact information on the colors the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL would be sold in. We'd wager Google is planning to surprise us with at least one new shade, but we'll see.

Love the notch.

All they really "designed" is the back, and that part is non-manufacturable. Shame

The phone will be crazy good but the thing will be butt ugly. I mean, ffs. These are just renders depicting it from the best possible angles under the best possible conditions.

The back looks unique and fine, but... just like all Android phones with a notch, the chin is way too large! And if they are going with a single camera, it must be at least better than Galaxy S9 or P20 Pro for nighttime photography since having only one camera means you're already missing out on extra features that additional cameras can provide such as optical zoom.

Optical zoom is irrelevant at 2X bth.. But anything from 5 and above and then we can talk.

Clock on the left, and still have no place for battery percentage.. And that extra space in left part probably just enough for 2-3 notification icons.

How would you put that colour onto the glass? Is that actually possible?

it's like the opposite version of Vivo NEX. butt ugly on the outside, but beautiful inside. the notch is the worst looking of them all.

Half glass/half metal again.. Ridiculous

It's going to be glass front and back with an aluminium mid frame. According to reports.

My biggest complaint on looks is the back is not uniform. A case will cover that but still is my gripe on its looks. It looks like it's made of left over materials almost. I'm sure it's all it's cracked up to be and my complaint is only skin deep, it doesn't effect phone abilities so yeah, just my opinion.

Kinda nice.

Instead of looking at having a notch, look at it as having a bit more extra screen where your icons/notifications/clock can live, opening a bit more space for apps. Its a compromise between having the extra side spaces or not, and probably other technical constrains too.

I don't understand why people are so hurt over the (removable) notch

I don't mind the same design& the front looks quite different... The camera would be top of the class and the software too and some under the hood improvements too so would love to get it after the launch, I hope they don't price it aggressively

That is the ugliest notch I have seen yet.

that better be the biggest front speaker ever on the top to justify a notch
