Oppo to offer its ColorOS to LG G2 users; beta testers wanted
Oppo's ColorOS is going to be made available for LG G2 users, now that three months of development work has been completed. All that remains, is for the manufacturer to complete beta testing on the OS. Right now, Oppo is seeking those with the unlocked European version of the phone (LG D802) to test the ColorOS ROM. From now through September 19th, Oppo will continue to recruit beta testers, and says that there is no limit to the number of LG G2 users that will be allowed to join. Once the testing phase is over with, ColorOS will be made available to all compatible LG G2 devices.

Those joining the beta test must agree to share feedback with Oppo about any problems they are having with the OS. In addition, those participating in the test must promise not to share any information publicly.

If you're interested in joining the beta test, click on the sourcelink. We do have to add that so far, the news that Oppo will share a version of ColorOS with LG G2 owners, is not sitting well with the Oppo community. Some are complaining that Oppo is shifting its focus from producing high-end smartphones, like the Oppo Find 7, to developing software.

If you're an LG G2 owner, would you consider giving Oppo's ColorOS a try?

"If you're an LG G2 owner, would you consider giving Oppo's ColorOS a try?" He answered to the article's question. What's your problem?

If you had half a brain you'd realize the question was meant to be answered in the Oppo forum and talking trash when you don't like something helps no one. Just move on if you don't want to help. They want beta testers not smart comments

Hmm... Then keep your smart comments to yourself, sir. You sure didn't help anyone here.

Its pointless replying on PA yet the feedback is needed in the Oppo forum. If it helps someone figure out obvious facts then it was worthwhile. Talking trash shall never be helpful in any form or way to anyone, you need to get out your mom's basement into the real world

So why didn't you keep your own comment to yourself then? Not like anyone cares what you think about others opinions if you go by what you say.

As an owner of an Oppo device and has tried ColorOS I can say it's not as bad as many think. It's a pretty well thought out Android skin with a lot good features. But to be honest it's not nearly as good as CM, omni, PA, etc. It's around the same level as Sony's Xperia UI to me (which is still miles better than Touchwiz!). But if I had a G2 I wouldn't flash this rom, CM is so much better there is no comparison for me.

"Sony's Xperia UI to me (which is still miles better than Touchwiz!)." You kidding?! First of all, I'm an ex Note 3 owner, now using a Z2. Let me tell you something, it's either you've never used a Samsung or the last you've used was on Gingerbread. Touchwiz is the only UI that makes full use of Android's potential. It might not be as appealing as AOSP or Sense but feature-wise, nothing else comes close.

Yes this 1000 times I may not like touchwiz looks and feels but is most feature(/gimmick) rich platforms.. It pushes android so hard Google changed android to include more touchwiz stuff.(notification screen t9 dialer etc.)

As a Sony Xperia user, I have tried Samsung device ~ I would said that the Touchwiz UI really bad ~ It look really childish for me ~

I agree with you, CM is great it is very fast, smooth, and i would like to replace is with any other ui, but not with the optimus ui. optimus ui is the best, it`s a ui that is rich of functions, yet it`s a very fast and smooth ui. lg g2,g flex,s4 note3,m7,s3(with CM 11) user. Sorry for my English.

Why not offer them to the world? If the system is good, they might make money like nova launcher.

Oppo probably needs a reliable phone to develop ColorOS on, so they want help getting it working nicely on the G2.

Why do people want a watered down looking cheap Chinese firmware for? They can just import the latest and better quality launcher from the G3
