Yesterday, we learned that OnePlus might soon offer its OnePlus 5 flagship smartphone in a new color version. We assumed that this color would be gold, and it looks like that's going to be the case, indeed.
Amazon India has an official OnePlus teaser that reads "5omething new" is "coming soon," while showing the same image that OnePlus itself showed yesterday - including a third, mysterious OnePlus 5 next to the phone's current Slate Gray and Midnight Black variants.
The word "gold" is included in the link of said image - see below - and that's why we're pretty sure that this will be the new color of the handset.
The Slate Gray and Midnight Black OnePlus 5 models aren't too different, aesthetically speaking, so a gold version would certainly stand out, possibly resembling the Soft Gold variant of the OnePlus 3T (pictured above).
It remains to be seen if the gold OnePlus 5 comes with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space (like the Slate Grey model), or with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space (like the Midnight Black model). Or maybe we'll see both configurations? Let's wait and find out.
