Nokia TV app is live and ready for Lumia devices, but it only offers Finnish content
Well, after last hearing about it more than a month ago, the Nokia TV app for Lumia smartphones is finally for real and available for download – though, we’d like to mention that it’s only being made available through Finland’s Windows Phone Marketplace.
For those who aren’t familiar with the app, it allows users to stream television shows through Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity. Currently though, the content provided by the app only contains Finnish programming. So unless you’re fluent with the Finnish language, it won’t be a useful thing to check out. Another cool thing about the app, is its ability to actually save television shows locally onto a device, so that it can be viewed offline at a later time when it's convenient.
Trying to find the app through the Windows Phone Marketplace is rather of a challenge, mainly because it’s not listed in the Nokia Collection. However, you can actually track it down by manually searching for it, or simply scroll through the listing of New Apps. Once installed, you can get your heart’s fill of all the popular Finnish content out there – then again, we’re hoping to see content being expanded for broader usage amongst users.
