Nokia 5, Nokia 3, and a modern Nokia 3310 to be announced at MWC 2017
HMD, the Finnish company that's run by former Nokia veterans and is in charge of developing Nokia Android phones, plans to announce several new devices at MWC 2017. The company already confirmed its presence at MWC, and now we have (unofficial) info on what it intends to unveil during the event.

According to Venture Beat, HMD will announce three brand new handsets: two Android smartphones, and a feature phone. The upcoming smartphones should be called Nokia 5 and Nokia 3.

The Nokia 5 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch 720p display, 2 GB of RAM, and a 12 MP rear camera, while costing around $200. We assume that this is the Nokia "Heart" that was spotted last month in a benchmark test. As for the Nokia 3, this is supposed to cost around $150, being an entry-level smartphone (with features yet to be revealed).

In addition, the Nokia 6 (currently available only in China) will also be showcased at MWC 2017.

What about the aforementioned feature phone? Surprisingly, it's said that this will be a "modern version" of the famous Nokia 3310 (pictured above). Originally released way back in 2000, the Nokia 3310 was sold in over 100 million units, gaining fame for being extremely durable and reliable, while offering long battery life. There's no word on the features of this alleged modern take on the Nokia 3310, but we know that the phone might cost around $60.

HMD will host its MWC 2017 event on February 26. Reportedly, all the handsets unveiled on that day will be marketed in Europe. For now, we don't have details on the possible release of new Nokia phones in North America, but we certainly hope to hear more on this soon. Stay tuned.

They can't do it until SD830 is available.
What's the point of big comeback if that device would be wit old SoC!?
Maybe LG can go through that, but not some company that needs to enter big.

Yeah I think this would be very interesting! It would be cool if it works with bluetooth and can connect to wifi.

Should have been a flagship phone with water resistance and rigid body like the Samsung Active series.

200 USD for a device with 720p display and 2GB Ram? Why not just buy a Xiaomi redmi 4 with 1080p display, 3GB RAM and a monster 4100mAh battery instead for almost half the price?
No sir, this is not the same Nokia like in the good old days. Maybe some of their current staff were ex Nokia employees but their devices have nothing incomon with the real Nokia. Where's the pureview camera, the clear black display, the outstanding typical Nokia soft and hardware design......?

Don't you that these phones are mid-range and low-end phones?
How come they implement PureView in them?

Xiaomi, which is not available outside China, and therefore don't offer international warranty and service!?
Nice suggestion bro' really nice.
Plus, it cost more like 170-200$ when delivered to EU or US.

1. this is a high end device, we're talking about a sub $250 device

2. there's still a track record of 3 out 4 tested on that channel that didn't cope well or barely coped

if you look at the tear down of the nokia 6 it's built like the nokia devices of old lots of screws in the motherboard, mid frame present battery easily accessible and replaceable for someone who's doing a repair job etc...!

3310 ...thugh little bastard ...drop't it from balcony at 4th flor and survived without a scratch, on dirt is true , but still ....1 week of batery life , play snake all day and who needed a wallpaper when u could have change the whole front cover , uh oh what a days , so much easier life back then without the release of a flagship every month that now cost 1000$ and when u finaly buy one a new one is released and be sad again and start raising money to get the new one and another one is released and so on and not to mention that if u drop it on the table ur heart stop and start pray that nothing hapend to it or ur fcuked , we becamed slaves to the big electronics companyes that brain wash us that we start fighting each other over meaningless stuff like phones ...we are so brain washed that some people sell theyr organs or childs just to have a flagship phone . i too my self surf and read every day on internet about the new phones to be released like an idiot , but we deserve it , we alone go to stores and phone companies and beg them to take our money to f**k us up hard and bare , not to mention that some of us are sadistic to pay and wait even 1 month, or pay extra to get fcuked

Snapdragon 835 is only avaible to Samsung first as I understand it. So Nokia would be forced to show a "flagship" device with a older processor.

So I guess they wait to later with high end devices.
