New boot animation for Motorola fixes complaints about Lenovo shoving Moto out of the way
Motorola fans, the kind that remember the Motorola DROID, went batwings crazy when the company's boot animation was last changed. The animation appeared as though the Lenovo brand was shoving the iconic Moto batwings logo out of the way. Keep in mind that Motorola's history in wireless goes back to walkie talkies used in major wars. The Motorola RAZR was an extremely popular flip phone that included a WAP browser, and the Motorola Q was a well known Windows Mobile smartphone. It was so well known that it was displayed on the screen during the Apple iPhone unveiling as one of the "usual suspects" pointed out by Steve Jobs.
Motorola has shown this year that it can still be innovative with the arrival of the Moto Mods modular accessories. Speaking of which, Lenovo recently announced that it has sold 1 million Motorola Moto Z units. That is the smartphone line that works with the Moto Mods.
The new Motorola boot animation can be viewed by clicking on the video at the top of this story. It will be seen on new Motorola devices starting in 2017.
