New Sony Xperia C6 render reveals a near bezel-less display
Next month, at MWC 2016, Sony will host a press conference to announce new devices, and one of them might be the Xperia C6. While Sony didn't confirm the existence of the C6, earlier this month we saw a few photos that allegedly presented the handset in the wild. Now, we can also see a render of the Xperia C6, which, according to @OnLeaks (usually a reliable source) is based on the phone's factory schematics.

It looks like the Xperia C6 borrows a lot from the design of last year's Sony Xperia C5 Ultra, a mid-range handset that sports a near bezel-less 6-inch 1080p display. That being said, we don't know how large the screen of the C6 is, though it's probably safe to assume that it's not smaller than 5 inches. In any case, rumor has it that this is going to be a 1080p screen. Also based on rumors, we know that the Xperia C6 might be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor - not a high-end chipset, but one that aims to offer decent performance at reduced costs.

As suggested by the new Sony Xperia C6 render (seen below), the smartphone should be available in at least three color variants. As for when and where the C6 will be released, that's anyone's guess. But we'll let you know as soon as we find out.

That huge bezel doesn't make sense. And why on-screen buttons. That trend is old and I don't like it. Capacitive buttons are much better. And doesn't waste the screen.

it depends
the on screen button looks better (IMO) and the capacitive buttons might get in the way when play games or watch movies
been there done that

I think some are ignoring or oblivious of the fact that those icons are not from the Xperia UI. Looks more like pure Android to me.

i think it's because the phone's running on a beta version of Android marshmallow for Xperia

Maybe it looks mid-range, because it is mid range?

good lord, i hope this is fake. it definitely has a fat bottom. the proportions look all disjointed.
also, where are the dual front speakers? that was a sony hallmark feature.

A lot less bezel on the top and especially on that bottom and I would consider adding to my arsenal. :)

Come on Phone Arena pull your head out of your arse and stop using childish terms like "bezel-less". The phone obviously has massive top and bottom bezels, your readership is going down and this is one reason.

for god sake, please just stop thinning side bezels!!! 1-2mm is thin enough....
Please focus on reducing those top and bottom bezels!!!

Why people kept complaining about top and bottom sony device bezel? I dont see other brand can cant reducing top and bottom bezel without losing some spec to offer. Even sharp with super thin bezel cant remove totally the bezel for the sake of the device component placement.

Some people would rather have a phone that can't do anything, but have small bezels. I never gave a crap about bezels, I care about capability, what can the phone do? iPhones have crazy bezels and outsell any single android model. I'd rather have a phone that can do things, like being waterproof, and have wireless charging, high resolution audio support, stereo speakers, and noise cancelling earbuds support built into the phone, if that means big bezels (and stereo speakers guarantee that) then so be it. But these guys are nuts, completely insane they would rather have a dull featureless phone with no bezels than one that can actually do things.

Finally, a person with sense! Bezels have a function. Go figure how to hold that phone if your skin gets in the way over the bezels.

I agree with most of these comments, Sony phones have always had a wide/long part above and below the display. Making the bezels so thin only accentuates this disproportionate design. Until they make the top and bottom parts thinner too, their phones will always lack a certain elegance in my view.

Sides yes almost bezel less, but not top and bottom. I wouldn't want a phone that is totally bezel less on the sides just because the way I hold my phone. My thumb would always be on the screen. That is why I went with note 5 and not s6+ edge.

This is either E6,T6 or C6. Probably 5.5inch or 5 inch.
I think it is C6 or E6. Huge bezels make it feel like E6.
