Gamers, listen up as this following bit of news is for you, guys. It has been over two months since Google announced its Play Games services, and now, Android gaming is being taken further with the launch of a new app.

Google Play Games, as this new app is called, serves as a hub where the games installed on an Android device are listed. From there, one can track virtual achievements and leader boards, but that's not all. The application brings along the user's Google+ buddies, allowing one to easily invite them for a game, or to just check out what they have been playing recently. The latter feature should make finding great new games much easier. When in the leader boards tab, the user can take a look at how well they are doing compared to their friends, or all gamers playing a given title.

The Google Play Games app is available on the Play store for anyone interested in trying it. Games like Riptide GP2, Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame, and Asphalt 8: Airborne, which were demonstrated during Google's event, will surely feature support for the new Games application.
