Motorola Moto Z2 logo leaks
Reliable tipster Evan Blass has disseminated a tweet this afternoon that seeming confirms that the Motorola Moto Z is getting a sequel. The tweet contains a logo for the Moto Z2, which is expected to continue supporting the Moto Mods modular accessories. The entire Moto Z line currently includes the Moto Z, Motorola Moto Z Force and the Motorola Moto Z Play. Moto Mods accessories connect to the back of these phones with the use of magnets and 16-pin connectors.

That the Moto Z will have a sequel is not exactly a surprise. Motorola has been talking about continuing to produce Moto Mods for at least three more years. The new modular accessories will work on new Moto Z models and remain compatible with the original Moto Z series. Motorola has also talked about opening up the sequels to the Moto Z line up to other carriers in the U.S. other than Verizon. Currently, the Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid and Moto Z Play Droid are Big Red exclusives.

The original Motorola Moto Z was introduced last June and was launched in September 2016. That means that we are certainly in the time period where we can expect to see leaked images and specs related to the Moto Z2. And that starts with today's leak of the Moto Z2 logo.
