Meizu MX5 poses for more pictures just days before unveiling
With the Meizu MX5 expected to be unveiled on June 30th, some new pictures of the device have surfaced. The images once again confirm that the phone will feature a fingerprint scanner embedded in the oval button under the screen. The device will feature a 5.5-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. That works out to a pixel density of 401ppi.

Driving the device is the MediaTek MT-6795T SoC, which includes a true octa-core CPU and the PowerVR G6200 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of internal memory. A 20.7MP camera adorns the back of the MX5 and a 5MP snapper is found in front. With a 3150mAh battery powering the unit, Android 5.0.1 is pre-installed. Speaking of the battery, the mCharge technology allows you to charge the cell up to 25% after just 10 minutes.

The Meizu MX5 could be priced at the equivalent of $290 USD. We should be able to fill in all of the gaps this coming Tuesday once Meizu takes the wraps off of the handset.

China: No. 1 copycat country in the whole world where every copies anything. Technically, I despise Chinese people.

I agree on that, they even go to the point where they would go to a certain country to buy a very expensive branded gadget or any other things so when they go back to their country, they will make imitations, horrible indeed, and that answers the question Why Is China's Outbound Tourism have gone higher in the last couple of years, China loves copying...

I hate saying things look like an iPhone clone, but that looks like an iPhone clone.... Why make your perfectly good Android phone look like a stupid iPhone? I'll never understand the logic. I'm proud to not have an iPhone and I hate when people ask if my smartphone is an iPhone. I wish I was quick witted enough like a friend of mine who owns a Nexus 5. Someone at his company asked him "Is that an iPhone?" And he replied with "Nope. It's a good phone."

I know there are a lot of folks (sheep, fanboys, whatever!) but to me this phone does not look like a clone. and stop with all the negatives....this a damn good phone for the money offering some awesome specs and capable hardware on a budget. I think we need more companies to step up in this direction. Flagships are overrated as is the case with almost every flagship in 2015: Samsung: overzealous RAM management (minor issue) but overall very good and VERY EXPENSIVE! HTC: SD 810, camera, no design change, the list goes on SONY: How many Z's are they gonna launch in a year? One for each month? LG: For the price the CPU is a bit under spec'd...but overall good not great though for $700 iPhone: the lesser said the better...underwhelming in every aspect except for the outstanding ecosystem In 2015, we shouldn't have to pay premium pricing for affording tech especially in this tech age where tech is essential. And then there are so many stories of these flagships failing right here on PA that I believe anything above USD 300 is overpriced.

With agresive price tag chinese brand like xiaomi, meizu & oppo seems promising, but consider after-sales service & other aspect like software update. Never had experience with Meizu but Xiaomi which i consider the best chinese manufacturer facing some problems like some bugs & hardware issue (my friend missing some of his photo).

I have zero experience with them, but I've heard some good stuff about em.

They are good for $200 smartphone, even mi3 doing great, fast, responsive, simple interface, great camera, even the ui looks more elegant compared to old touchwiz on Note 3/S5.

A shameless iPhone copy. Look at the lockscreen. It's a good thing Apple showed mercy for not suing you guys.

Meizu copied all their design from iPhone and they are selling a lot of it so I don't think they will stop doing it

And they say HTC and Sony designs are boring. Yup, why don't you just keep buying these iPhone clones?
