Lost BlackBerry saves kidnapped woman locked in trunk of her car
57 year old Mary Wilkenson went out for dinner with friend and neighbor Robert Scott. After a festive meal, the pair returned to Wilkenson's home from which Scott walked the two blocks back to his house, not realizing that he had left his BlackBerry in Mary's car. The next day, when Mary's son couldn't get in touch with her, he called the police. The cops went to interview Scott and when he was asked if he could remember anything unusual about the night they went out to dinner, he suddenly remembered that he had left his handset in Ms. Wilkenson's vehicle. The authorities were able to use the signal from the 'Berry to track down the car and remove Mary from the trunk where she had been held for two days. The kidnapper has not been found, but Mr. Scott does have his BlackBerry back in his possession which makes it a happy ending for all. You can check out a video on the story at the source link.
