Leaked internal document reveals Verizon's LG G6 pre-orders will start March 17th for $672
A leaked internal Verizon document reveals that the nation's largest carrier will start taking pre-orders for the LG G6 starting on March 17th. That is this coming Friday (and is also St. Patrick's Day). The phone is priced at $672 smackers, or $28 a month with 24 payments due. As we previously told you, the launch date will be April 7th. Did we say that Verizon has a number of promotional gifts to give away to those who reserve an LG G6?

Everyone who pre-orders the LG G6 will receive a free Google Home. That is the smart speaker powered by Google Assistant that answers your questions, runs your smart home and handles tasks. Those Verizon Unlimited customers who upgrade to the LG G6 will not only receive the Google Home, but also get $200 for trading in certain "select" devices.  And existing customers who activate a new line on Verizon Unlimited, or new subscribers who activate a line and port over their current number to Verizon Unlimited, will receive the Google Home, the $200 trade-in and a 43-inch smart TV from LG valued at $349.99.

The LG G6 features the Gorilla Glass protected 5.7-inch LCD screen with a 1440 x 2880 QHD+ resolution, and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 821 SoC with a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of native storage in the U.S. and Europe. Two 13MP cameras adorn the back of the LG G6. One comes with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The second camera is a wide angle shooter with an f/2.4 aperture. The front-facing camera is a 5MP selfie snapper. A 3300mAh battery (non removable this year) keeps the hamster wheel spinning, and an IP68 certification rating means that the phone is protected from water and dust. A USB Type-C port is on board, and Quick Charge 3.0 rapidly charges the unit. Android 7.0 is pre-installed.

So get ready Verizon subscribers, or soon to be Verizon subscribers. In just two days you it appears as though you will be able to reserve a brand spanking new LG G6 in either Black or Platinum.

Non-Removable Battery + Fragile Glass + Old specs = FAIL This should be $499 outright AT MOST. If you're willing to accept a crippled phone, you'll just buy a Samsung instead. LG just committed suicide by deleting the removable battery and aluminum construction.

Only an idiot would call the SD 821 old tech, especially when it only arrived with the first smartphone back in November 2016, and it was in the Pixel smartphone. So it is only 5 months old now. The iPhone 7's are older, and they should go for $400 then. Also the SD 821 is definitely fast since it can sustain a QHD display at 60 fps. So that is definitely not old or slow.

That's some pretty good hyperbole you have going there.

I really like the G6, but not for this price. No 64 GB, no SD835, no IR sensor + laser AF, a cheap 1/3" sensor, no Quad DAC (EU), no wireless charging (EU), and I'm sure that I forget something.

The EU gets the 32 bit DAC, and wireless charging is for North America.

Nope the DAC is in asian model. In the UK we get, No DAC No wireless charging 32 gig only. It's available for preorder for £699 which is $856 at today's exchange rate and no free items. Once again LG is screwing us over and it's their own fault that the G6 will not sell well here. To compare Sony's XZ Premium slaughters the G6 in every spec and is available to preorder for £650 with a free £200 speaker which just shows how much LG are ripping us Europeans off.

599$ would be a fair price, considering it only has 32gb of internal storage...

LOOK PA it's just a smidge more than the converted Euro price minus the VAT tax... just like I have to remind you at every pricing article. lol
