Android 4.1 rolls out to the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III starting tomorrow
A leaked document reveals that Sprint's version of the
Samsung Galaxy S III will start to receive Android 4.1 on Thursday, October 25th. First thing that Sprint customers who own the device need to realize is that even though the update is coming OTA, it doesn't reach all Samsung Galaxy S III owners at the same time. According to the nation's third largest carrier, it will
take a few weeks for the update, L710VPALJ7, to reach all variants of the Samsung Galaxy S III branded with the Sprint name.
At the beginning of the month,
a leaked version of the Jelly Bean update was made available to Sprint owners from XDA developers forum, although it was not the same build as the update coming from the carrier. Android 4.1 brings some great features such as the
smooth as silk scrolling of Project Butter and Google Now, which brings you timely information that you need to know, uh, now.
