Huawei takes a jab at Samsung, promises "real upgrades" for its flagships

Huawei takes a jab at Samsung, promises
While Samsung is using its Galaxy Note 9 marketing campaign to mock Apple, its Android rivals use the same tactics against the South Korean company. Obviously, it's just a clash of words and perspectives, but some consumers really fall for words, and that's what these companies are really aiming for.

Huawei is the newest company that takes a jab at Samsung and the Galaxy Note 9, as the Chinese handset maker claims that it has already provided its customers with “real upgrades” when it comes to flagships.

It's true that neither Samsung nor Galaxy Note 9 names are called out in the tweet, but the timing chosen by Huawei to publish it speaks for itself. I guess we'll find soon find out whether or not the Mate 20 Pro will actually pack four rear cameras, as the tweet no so subtly implies.

Huawei should implement an active digitizer pen first.

They do on some of their tablets, for some reason Samsung is the only company that sees a need for a stylus on a phone.

Besides a UPS delivery that needs a signature, who really needs a pen for a phone. Useless gimmick.

My dad uses the stylus on his note quite a bit. So much that he refuses to get any other phone.

With up to 10,000 x 10,000 pixel resolution possible with the Sketchbook Pro, I can do detailed drawings.http://flic.kr/p/DdKXvJ The S Pen has 4096 pressure levels with tilt input. I also use it for jotting notes with OneNote and Samsung Note with very fine and dynamic lines.

I don't know. Only good phone that came from Huawei was the 6P, and even it ended up having a major battery problem.

I've owned every Mate since the Mate 8, great phones. I've also had the Honor Note 8 which was my favourite phone of 2016.

Really? Have you been living under a rock? Huawei had produced some of the best phones in Mate series, in Honor brand.. Huawei is starting to take over the smartphone world. Huawei P20 pro, P20, Mate 9, Mate 10, Matte 10 pro, Honor 10, Honor view 10, Huawei Nova 3, Huawei Note 10, Note 8, etc... are some examples.

Chinese phones are eating Samsung marketshare while Samsung is really trying hard to beat apple in the high end market. Pathetic! Their phones were not compelling enough to switch from iOS.

That's the thing, while Samsung is making attack ads on Apple Huawei is slowly eating away at their market share. Unlike Apple, Samsung really cares and need that market share. Apple only seems concern about their margins and profits which are in no danger from Samsung and Huawei at this point.

Huawei doesn't have any mindshare in North America where these ads are targeted. And they won't with the restrictions placed on them in the US. Therefore why would Samsung market against Huawei?

lol you make it sound like apple doesn't care about market share. of course apple cares or they wouldn't boast about how many iphones they sold every year. huawei already overtook apple and is going to bite samsung in a few years and yes samsung would be scared since huawei is trying to get as much marketshare as possible over profits. once they get brand recognition as number 1, they will slowly increase their prices on their phones and be the next samsung/apple.

Copying design of every other copycat phone is an upgrade now?

Just becuase the P20 has a notch? Does that mean the LG G7 is a copycat phone too?

Yes LG is a copycat too notch-wise. And you know it's not just the notch thay Huawei copied from iPhone.

Huawei will add 2 cameras every year and still get beaten by pixel, lg and galaxy s series. Huawei play by adding numbers while others will go with quality. If lg g7 had 3500mah it will crush the p series in every category.

What is a LG G7 ? Does it even exist in this world . Please dont talk about LG . They dont have any quality. And no one uses them . They get launched, reviewed and eats dust in their showrooms . And software is the most problematic part of every LG . In recent years not a single person I have seen has bought a LG

They still exist. Haha! And I am still waiting for them to release the Nougat update for my 1-month-old LG G4. Ouch! Pie (9.0) has arrived & LG has not even released the 7.0 update for my G4 H18P.

Lg g7 is a great phone minus the small battery. Stop judging it like you already used it. Just because you don't see an lg user it doesn't mean that it's an instant bad phone. If you take all of what the media say, you are the gullible one.

All LG phones are specd like yesteryears. LG only manages some sale in Korea (as local brand) and in US (as not many options available there) . LG comes with mediocre camera (expect the wide angle feature) . Youtubers give them some good score , but real world users give them a good thumps down . Most people want something new exciting in there phone but LG phones has nothing that attracts the mass . Once they were in top 5 manufacturers. Now they are not ,as they dont understand what people wants in a phone what they are providing in the phones .
