How often do you change your phone's wallpaper?

Wallpapers are a big deal. If you don't believe us, just look at that beautiful nature collection of high-res ones we've picked for you. It's the first thing you see when you unlock your phone, and one of the easiest ways to customize your phone to suit your generous and unique personality.

That being said, though, there are plenty of approaches to wallpaper-ing. Some just stick with whatever their phones ship with, as long as their icons are easily discernible on it, that is why the stock wallpaper collections are perhaps the most widely used ones, and some have become a signature of whole phone lines or generations.

Others would change their stock background with something else that is provided by the manufacturer out of the box every now and then, while some would go to greater lengths and install a wallpaper app that gives them access to millions of tailored images to pick and choose from. There are even apps that will change the wallpaper for you every day if you wish, so that you never get bored looking at one and the same screen.

You have to be careful with automatic swaps, though - you don't want to end up with a bright set of icons on a bright background, or vice versa - that is why we wanted to ask you how often do you change the wallpaper on your phone in general. Check it in the poll below, and do tell us why.

I change mine when I look at it and resize it's getting long in the tooth. Monthly maybe few weeks. I also like simple dark backgrounds or material design. Bright icons to go with it or the opposite. Hate when the colors clash.

I'm between 'constantly' and 'now and then' maybe once or twice a month. Poor poll options, there is a huge jump between 'now and then' and 'constantly' - should have included 'frequently' or more specific choices, like how many times a month, once, twice etc. Who could possibly swap their wallpapers 'constantly'??

I've used Backdrops for my reasonable use of wallpaper changes.

How useful do you think this poll is? 1 - Not at all. 2 - Not one tiny bit. 3 - Useless. 4 - I don't answer polls.

Wallpaper Changer (readily available on the PlayStore) does that every time my OnePlus One is unlocked or every 30 minutes (if my screen is continuously on for that long)...

I try different ones every now and then really. I change them when I change something about my phones and I want it to match or work well with it. Recently, I put a skin on my iPhone so I changed my wallpapers to fit the new look, On my Honor 8, I change it to match the theme I applied to my phone.

I stick with the wallpapers for a few months, or until I find something new that grabs my interest.

Manually I do it once a month to once a week. The past few days though I've been trying out the Pixels daily wallpaper feature. Can anybody recommend an app that will do the same thing and let me add the wallpapers of my choice?

Friends... can someone please provide me with a link to where I can download the dark navy blue wallpaper featured on the home screen to the right at the top of this article? I really want that wallpaper and cannot seem to find it by googling.

Tapet does a great job generating wallpapers.

It's annoying, when your actual way is not an option. Me: I set it when I get a new device, then never change it. (Don't use the stock image)

On the iPhone it doesn't even matter if you change it, because you can't see but 30% of it anyways. 70% of it is blocked by icons you can't move out the way. You can't even add a home screen unless you put at least one icon on it. I never change the wall paper on my iPad or iPhone. It's pointless to do so. On my Note 7, I change it roughly 3~4 times per week manually. But I use an app that changes it every 90 seconds.

Funny enough, I've been using the same wallpaper since 2010. Five phones later, still the same background. Why? I guess it's because it's simple, clean, and I just like it. Used it on both Android and iPhones. lol

tapet does a good job generating wallpapers on a rotating basis.

Stupid poll with missing answers. I bought one a year ago with a rotating globe and great background of stars and moving moon. The best out there. But why not an option like "I have only one and intend to keep it for years"

Important for me is that the icons are easy to recognise and not "outwashed" by too many colors in the wallpaper

Every 3 to 6 months, not a big deal as long it's a dark colored WP.
