Back in December, a leaked screenshot of Verizon’s system showed off a mystery device known as the HTC Fireball and that device has surfaced yet again as it has just been given its WiFi certification.
The model number from the Wifi certification PDF is ADR6410L which is the same model number that was found next to the HTC Fireball a couple of months ago. At the very end of the model number are the letters VW which suggest this device is indeed headed for Verizon Wireless in the future. Perhaps it is the mystery Android Ice Cream Sandwich phone that surfaced a little more than a week ago.
Aside from the fact that it is now WiFi certified, we know nothing about the HTC Fireball. Will that be the name of the smartphone when it hits Verizon or will it be a next-gen version of the “Incredible” line that has been so popular on the nation’s largest carrier? Only time will tell, but here’s to hoping we find out sooner rather than later.
